I had a Lockpick on the head unit in my purchased-new 2008 Chevy Crew dually 3500HD 4x4. In those days it unlocked the ability to see DVD’s while driving and assorted other things not available in stock configuration. I’m sure these newer ones do waay more than the one from 14 years ago.

I had one in my ‘09 JKU and you could watch a dvd while in motion.
it was great for my kids that would lean to the middle to watch.
Had one on our ‘14 suburban, too.
Not sure what it’ll do for the new ones. Hopefully do screen mirroring for watching a movie.

Pull the head unit and plug the adapter inbetween thr radio and factory harness. That’s pretty much all there was to it.

Oh, on my ‘09 JKU, it allowed you to add a back up camera. That’s not a thing these days since they all come with one.

We cannot get the oversized tire/stock fender crowd to follow the rules. What makes you think the no DVD while driving will be self-policing? Asking for a friend.
