New Mojave - Multiple leaks

Brand new Mojave X less than 2K on the clock. Was installing mud flaps yesterday and noticed multiple oil leaks. Rear main seal, trans pan, and other fittings hookup points on parts that I don't know what they are. And the coolant level is low so it's probably leaking coolant as well. Didn't see any leaks at the oil filter housing up top. All below. Made in America. Sheesh

What does America have to do with this?

Have had Japanese cars that leaked, as well as a German engineered French built truck that currently leaks..



Rear main leaks are known to occur on the JT, although not super common, mine has a very slight weep and has not posed any issue in 3 years. I would get yours reviewed and it will surely be a warranty claim. It happens..

I get you. Are you certain its multiple, not trying to be dismissive to your perspective, but is the rear main leak blowing back or is it in fact multiple?

For the coolant, is the reservoir low or actually emptying?

Where is forward most area where there is no fluid present?

None of the fluid appears to be trans fluid based off the yellow/brown oil you took pictures. The rear main is clearly an active leak based off that volume though, I would expect that to be an easy warranty claim.

Mine is a stain and has never formed a bead even, so just as reference I fully agree with your frustration on that leak source being a certain issue.

Probably assembled on a Friday. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

LOL - never a leak on the US made transmissions and yet dozens, if not hundreds, have experienced leaks in the GERMAN built version!

Look at it as Harbor Freight tools but with Snap On price. It'll makes you feel better. In a few years, nearly all suspension and steering components will need replaced.

And the coolant level is low so it's probably leaking coolant as well.

These will often burp out air bubbles after a few hundred miles of driving.
They should run roughly around the area of the reservoir seam. And that will vary with both engine temperature and ambient air temperature. If it's cold, it will appear low (so recent temp drops here make fluids look a bit lower than they did a month ago)

I put a small mark on the reservoir at the fluid level for coolant, brake and steering fluids. Then I can tell at a glance what has changed, if anything.

The only one of mine that’s Never leaked a drop of anything is my 2020 X . I went toe to toe with the manager at the dealership purchased from on the leaking. If it doesn’t leave a puddle overnight they Won’t warranty it. I almost lost my mind on this subject with them. Fast forward four years with my JT, still leaks, just like it did under warranty. You’ve got to move on, I finally did.

3 Gladiators - not a single leak or drop of anything on the floor that didn't belong (AC condensation)
My wife's JLU hasn't leaked anything at all since the transmission was replaced in 2023.

You are living right…over the years my old Harley’s were the first to school me true humility in the gift of leaking oil contraptions. It has continued to plagued me to this day. The wife’s old cookie sheets have been worth their weight in gold.
