I didn't order the steel bumper and I still got boned so I'm betting several different options are experiencing an inventory shortage.

Removed bumper from mine, fully loaded minus advanced safety and tonneau cover. Included matching hardtop. I switched to white cuz red was causing delays

I was never given an option to change anything. In fact I tried to change colors and the Jeep rep for my dealer said no. Baffling.

Mine is a white automatic Rubi with saddle leather and painted top and fenders. Every option except for the steel bumper, engine block heater, smokers group, dual top, and tonneau.

I think they had to cancel my order then replace it, which it went right back to D. Sounds like mine exact

" Good news. Have a status update.

D1 - Gateline:plant has sequenced the unit for production,estimated ship date assigned.

I'll keep you up to date on the process."

I did receive word back regarding your case escalation. your vehicle is progressing per schedule. I was assured that there are no delays being experienced with this order. With new model year production, build time may be longer than usual. We encourage you to keep in touch with your ordering dealer. If you would like to reach out to us next week to see if there has been any progress, you are welcome to do so!

I ordered my JT Rubicon on Saturday the 22nd and was told I was in D status as of today. Nicely optioned Black with painted fenders and top.

Rear steel bumper on the Rubicon is holding up production.

Anyone who is in D1 or further have Rubicon?

Thank you for waiting Bryan; the case number for your escalated case is 58784820. Based on the last notes of that case, as you have the steel bumpers equipment for the order, there is a current late June build start for those; the escalation team has advised to contact us back the week of July 1st for further information.

Correct; non-launch Rubicons have the delay because of the steel bumpers.

I thought all Gladiators had a steel rear bumper but I haven't really looked at the other trims. Is it only Rubicons?

Wow...the response I got from my escalation only specifically mentioned the Steel Front Bumper, nothing about the rear steel bumper on my Rubicon.

I'm guessing the next thing (excuse) we hear it will be the Rubicon is made out of steel and is delayed.... Geeez , they should have used Plywood!

Drive past any Jeep dealer right now and they’re likely to have excess JLs on their lot. FCA should’ve slowed Wrangler production when sales slowed but they kept plowing through, using up all the steel bumpers. Now they’re having to discount Wranglers to move them. They can make great machines but they’re not the best at predicting demand.
