Back into the same place I pulled the beige/white
That’s where I stuck mine. Was yours in the second slot from the right like their instructions showed? I’m trying to figure out what issue is. I’m gonna try and install it again in a bit.

I'll post up pics of my shit tomorrow

I did not stick the green plug in the same spot where I removed the beige connector. I followed the ZAutomotive instructions and plugged it in the first open port

I re-did it exactly as the instructions say and still no dice. I guess I got a faulty unit. All I get when I activate it is a steady red light and a loud buzz/hum from under the jeep that happens for a few seconds every couple of seconds over and over. I already sent them an email.

Did you try plugging it into another empty spot?

Yes twice into the same spot as the removed connect and this last time into the last spot like they do in the install video.

So today I did roughly a 200 mile round trip mixed highway/local road and was at 14.8 mpgs.

NOTES: I pinned it at every light to hit the speed limit and cruised from there. The vast minority of the trip I had a nasty head wind or cross wind.

My wife has been exposed to every vehicle I've owned and modified. She has a keen since of everything based on my driving style. Today was no different and she said, what did you do, it's hitting different. So she observed the difference with no torque management.

Either way, it's a lot more enjoyable to drive now. On the highway or where I could get it to stay in 7th or 8th gear........trans temps were right at 190* which about 8* cooler.

My struggle is not to mash the right pedal all the time because it's fun.

Any idea if this will or will not cause issues when using the off road + button? The plus button, adjust throttle, transmission shift points and traction control.

Should only make it better where the TM is disabled. I was not impressed with the Off Road + button/performance; in deep sand it would bog out.

I just use 4HI and hold the TC button til I disables the TC, ABS and stability control.

I was running around today driving a little more aggressive. I did notice it hangs onto gears a lot longer. Shifting from 4th to 5th would hang a lot to the point it was annoying. It could be more noticeable since I have a Trans tune as well.

It's supposed to prolong driveline parts life.

One thing torque management does is cut back throttle before and during a shift. With torque management disabled, you'll feel it shift firmer and quicker.
Yeah I say your dead nuts on that and I'd say there goes the transmission.. this doesn't seem like a good idea. Pass.

I can see your point.......not what I've observed and the trans temps are solid. So 100% speculation at this point

I could see this if you were mashing throttle everytime. The 8hp transmission is pretty durable and can take the power. I did notice the trans not shifting when driving under modterate throttle, I think it see too much power and thinks your still in it. It Won't up shift till you get more speed or RPMs come down.

I put this on mine and dont plan on keeping it on 24/7. I bought it for when I hit the trails to get the vehicle fully unlocked as possible.

If the transmission has been “restricted” for as long as it’s been operating and it’s “learned” this way,..now it has this harness that shuts off TC, shouldn’t the transmission be reflashed to start the learning all over again?
It sounds like rev hang or gears not shifting is a result of what it’s “learned”. If a reflash isn’t done, I think the transmission will require the additional 10k kms (6k miles) to adapt to the new driving style.
