I would test it as it is now and go from there. Mine came in yesterday, but I haven't installed it yet. Nice find though!

Actually. Maybe the non beta version is different? If you get a chance before I do, check those settings on the regular version first?

I hooked it up with the non-beta stock file that it comes with last night and the screen looked the same. I didn't mess with any of the settings... yet. Wanting to give it a go this weekend and hope I don't need a new transmission by Monday.

On mine, even after rebooting, the update tool never auto discovered the device. What I did was select Com port 4 and direct it to both available firmware versions I downloaded. Doing that allowed it to flash. Even after flashing it, the tool still does not see the device unless I manually select port 4 but hitting OK then Read Version shows the current firmware. Both show all the options that Eddy posted about earlier but I didn't change those settings.

I'm at work now and have not installed it yet but if I have time at noon, I'll do it then.

Just got an email from Zautomotive and they suggested using the beta because it fixed the bugs that were found with the original firmware.

Hmmm, I wonder what the bugs were.

Generally, bugs are not fixed in a beta version when it comes to software, but a new version. OK, done being a cyber nerd for the mean time

Z Automotive got back to me and turns out the module I got was one of the first batches that had a hardware flaw which is why it wouldn’t work. They are swapping my device out for a good one.

Unfortunately not they won’t send until I ship this one back and I can’t do that until tomorrow. Maybe next weekend!
Well shit

I was curious about that myself. The only changes listed were allowing higher revs in neutral and adding more throttle sensitivity to certain Dodge trucks.

I have driven about 60 miles since hooking mine up and it works as it should. It does seem to hold lower gears a touch longer but not enough to worry about. Tomorrow morning I’ll drive through the pasture and try out 4 high and low. We are going out of town this weekend so I’ll be able to put a few hundred highway miles on it.

Not much to say other than there is a subtle but noticeable difference

I have had it on for 5 days now and have been driving my normal commute, here are my observations:

-Holds lower gears longer
-Seems to hold 7th longer than before while on highway, less resistant to down shifting to 6th but also more reluctant to shift into 8th compared to before
-Throttle sensitivity is higher, even over my pedal commander (had to turn it down)
-Only happened twice but banged it off the rev limiter and/or it got hung up on the 3-4, 4-5 shift
-Definitely seems less like it falls on it face when accelerating i.e. around 55mph+ when going from a stop to highway cruising speed it felt like the shift would get hung up and fall on its face a bit
-Don't expect to win any races or it is suddenly be a hot rod but it does make merging into traffic and passing easier I feel like

Now disclaimer, I have a pedal commander and a pulsar, which I feel like maybe the no limitz would essentially eliminate the need for both of those products and likely they both are trying to accomplish the same thing already too. For the ease of install and some security with it, I would say so far the no limitz is a good pick for some modest performance gains and some anti theft measures. It is also cheaper than those other products while seemingly accomplishing the same thing.

Is it as good as an actual tune, no but it accomplishes some of what you would get with a tune without having the hassle of having to unlock your PCM. I plan on messing with the configurator this weekend and seeing if there are any parameters we can play with. At first glance, it doesn't seem like it is something we can actually mess with or change any parameters within its programming for our trucks. My plan is to turn the throttle sensitivity all the way up as that would be the easiest thing to change and see if it made a difference and then go from there.

Well I experienced the same non-connecting issue as previously mentioned in this thread. Looking at the pic posted earlier it says not connected at the top, no matter what I did, mine never connected even if I selected COM it wasn't actually connected. The same menu pops up but it doesn't actually do anything. The shift pressure options shown are only for 5 gears, infact clicking on the Auto Upshift tab it says "For 5 Speed NAG1 Transmission only" so all this makes me think this configure menu isn't for our trucks. Also it seems to turn off the No Limitz module when connecting to the usb port when you are still connected to your truck. You have to manually turn it back on afterwards to get the green light indicating it is on again. I tried removing the module and keeping it connected neither did a thing. Maybe someone smarter than me in the PC world can crack this but for now I am puzzled.
