Thoughts? Been of the mind for some time now that anti slip in the rear locker up front is the best all around setup. IMO rear locker seems like more of a carrot on a stick for those maybe looking at *ahem* competition. Anybody have any real world experience to lend here?

I have a 21 Willys. I had 0 issues with the LSD that it came with. I had a few getting stuck issues with the open diff front so I decided to go lockers front and rear. Didn't necessarily need to but that's what I wanted. Found take off Rubi Dana 44's with 5.13's already installed and bought them. I couldn't be happier with my decision. The LSD I removed from the Willys will be going in my wife's 20 overland. So over all, yeah lockers may be overkill for my true needs but I regretted not buying a Rubicon. Ended up building one instead. Truthfully though, adding a locker up front would have been enough. Just my .02

I installed a locker up front of my sport with an open diff (for now) in rear. I’ve actually done some pretty technical trails with all open diffs with no issues at all. Modern traction control is so good that places that would stop older open diff vehicles, the gladiator walks up them like it has a locker. Pretty amazing. I installed a front because to me pulling with the front is better than pushing. I’m sure there a lot of different thoughts and opinions on this.

I have a limited slip rear in my Willy’s and a front air locker. I viewed it as the best of both worlds along with 4H auto (so I don’t have to switch back and forth to 4H part time on icy roads) and with that pair have yet to do a run that the Rubicon i off-road with can do and I couldn’t. I don’t like the hopping behavior of the limited slip crawling up a steep icy driveway but it still got me up there. I’m still not 100% sure that’s normal but it’s my first truck so…
