For those of you without a bedliner or the power plug in the bed, is there a plastic plug covering the opening where the power plug would be installed? Mine has the bedliner so it’s sprayed over, but from the underneath side, appears to have a plastic plug in the opening where the power plug would go if it had been installed from the factory. My question is, is there already a square cutout on all of our Gladiator beds where the power outlet goes, and if you don’t have the outlet, do they have a plastic plug over the opening?

I am also interested if the wiring is simply tucke away in that area. If it is im going to look at getting ahold of the oem plug and may need to place a fuse in the box to conplete the circuit? That would be sweet!

I looked and don’t see any extra wiring.

There is no wire harness there waiting for you to just plug into. I ordered the Rubicon without the trail rail/110 power outlet in the bed. What I did order was the AUX interior switches. So using a box cutter, I cut around the plastic cap through the bed liner and then pressed the two tabs on each side of the cap (8 tabs) from the backside and it popped right out. I then ran power from one of the AUX switch lines and installed this. Now I have 12v USB and CIG power ports in the bed which is more useful for me than the 110v option. If I really need 110v, there is an outlet in the rear seat area. I also have three additional switches for side/bed/rear LED lights or whatever else I can think of.

Thanks! Would you mind posting a pic if it’s not too much trouble?
It’s just a plastic square with tabs holding it in place. I replaced mine with an aluminum one that screws into place. Didn’t take a picture before but just imagine a smooth, black plastic piece of this same size without the screws.
