I finally got around to letting the dealer update the radio in an attempt to correct the poor Bluetooth audio out on cell calls. With that update the GPS is no longer working for obvious reasons the map and compass are no longer working.

How do I get the GPS to function again?

Give it a full day. If still not working, try a system reboot. Disconnect both batteries for about 10 minutes. It will take about 24 hours for it to fully recover from the reboot.

I will check in the morning. The update was on 17th. I may try a system reboot like was mentioned. I do not know the version.

Just out of curiosity - NAV was working, you had dealer apply update, now things are not working - uh, why not take it to the dealer and tell them they broke it and you want it fixed? Sounds like a simple thing. If I got my truck back and something wasn't working that WAS working when I first took it to them, I'd be all over them to get it fixed on their dime, their time.

Last I knew you don't have to pull batteries to reset the radio - nav is in the radio. There's a post here somewhere about how to force a full radio reset.

Unfortunately the dealer is an hour away. The bluetooth audio output issue was not resolved. I never look at the compass or map. The wife just kind of mentioned it to me today. I will try a reset as mentioned. The map works but it puts the jeep in the middle of the ocean on the other side of the globe. I can't tell it where I am. Gps shows 0 satellites.

Reminds me when my company started using GPS on the fleet and it kept reporting back we were about 20 nautical miles off the coast of San Diego most the time. Wasn't quite ready for primetime.

Hope you get it figured out.

You can also pull fuse 97 and reinsert it to reset your radio and wireless. I was having a wireless issue and it fixed it. Here is the original thread link where I got the info:
Pulled 97 for a minute. Had to repair my phone but no change so far. Gps still thinks I'm in the gulf of Mexico.

Dang. Sorry. I was hoping it would reset everything. I reckon you could be in worse places than the gulf. ;)

Was this your theme before the update, or did it change to the blue theme afterwards? Also, is your HVAC temperature selection working properly or is it only letting you select between HI and LO?

I had something similar to this happen to me after I got the DEF system flash. I had to take it back in and have them reapply the flash for everything to start working again.

I will try the hvac in the morning. I never thought to try anything else. The blue theme you are talking about it the Gulf of Mexico. It is where the GPS thinks it is.

I took a little time this morning to see if there is anything else missing. Hvac controls are working and the off-road pages are working. Really the only new issue is the vehicle is lost. No GPS information. I was in Forsythe Ga according to the GPS this morning. After a few starts, the vehicle is now showing back in the Gulf of Mexico. It has not moved in two days and both location are 200-300 miles off.

I read that if you get a map update that they may or may not send a radio update and you must do them in the correct sequence or damage may occur. I wonder if a new radio update could corrupt the maps. Where is the GPS? Radio hardware and sortware?

The dealer has no clue. The have now ordered a new radio. If I make the appointment today, I may get it fixed by May. I doubt a new radio will fix it. It worked fine until an update.

New radio today. Gps/map is now working. No option for xmradio or off road pages. Contacted xmradio and they said my new radio has a subscription by another user and has been in service for over a year. They can not activate it because it belongs to someone else. Dealer says bring it back to see the issue so they can order another backordered radio.
