So 2 days ago I’m leaving for work and no power steering. I have had zero issues with Jeep since (new) purchase in ‘21. Researched on here and am leaning heavily on possible battery failure. No lights or warnings on dash. Had wife double check while I’m at work, nothing. But she said it tried to start but did not start. Second try it started. Later in the day she started it and left it running for a while and power steering is back. But “Start Stop not ready temperature too low” Would this be Aux battery starting to die? I’m headed home today and plan on getting a new battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

‘21 with no additional electrical equipment. 47k miles.

That just means the engine isn't warmed up yet and nothing more.
If it says "battery charging" that's different.
Ignore most of the bull crap that says it's the aux battery because it could be EITHER battery, or both.
PS works off the main battery, not the aux battery! The EHPS pump is connected to the main battery via the high current fuses. So that means the supply coming from the main battery was too low - HOWEVER, once the vehicle starts, you should have PS because the alternator is what really powers the power steering.
So this tells me your main battery is an issue - it was too low to start, then when it started, it was such a draw on the alternator that there wasn't enough power for the power steering pump.

Go to a dealer and have them check the batteries - BOTH batteries. My gut says the main battery because of the fact the EHPS wasn't working properly even after starting - it's connected to the main battery and alternator once running. Not the aux.

Don't rely on what you read in forums as far as batteries - at least half of it is wrong.
And take a look at what that message says - read it - does it say BATTERY, or does it say ENGINE TEMPERATURE.
Yeah, the engine wasn't warmed up so of course ESS won't work. There's at least 24 things that must line up for ESS to work.
If you saw battery charging, then it's an electrical issue - like a battery bad or low.

Thank you Shadowspapa! I really appreciate the info as I obviously had no idea. I have noticed a lot is blamed on the Aux battery haha. Thank you again

Any suggestions on replacement battery? This is factory battery and is almost 2 and a half years old

That's a decent life - unfortunately that's how these go and 2.5 to 3 years is sadly a fairly common life-span.

I've not yet made a final decision on what to do when mine finally go bad - if in warranty I'll likely let the dealer replace them to put off me spending more money, but that's a "it depends" thing.
If I decided to replace them even in warranty, or when out of warranty, I'll look into the current NAPA batteries. I've had good luck with them in other vehicles.
Seems like each person has their own favorites.
I do suggest that if you don't have the aux switch package, with a gas engine you likely have teh smaller main battery. With the aux switches, Jeep puts the larger main battery in. Get as large as what will fit in that battery tray.

I bought a ACDelco AGM 94R from Amazon for $160 last fall. They are now $195, but another brand is available for $140.
Weize BCI Group 94R Battery - 12v 80ah Platinum AGM H7 Automotive Battery, 140RC, 850CCA, 36 Months Warranty https://a.co/d/1ENndLO

I bought a Deka Aux14 battery from Auto Barn. The ACDelco and Deka Aux14 batteries are both now available from Amazon.

Sam's Club and Costco usually have the lowest price on auto batteries. They didn't carry the Aux14 last time I checked. The 94R is the largest size available that will fit the stock battery tray.

Frankly, that's not a bad price. The little 24F for my Eagle was over $175
