Just noticed recently that when I park and set the e-brake, that the vehicle can sometimes still have a little movement. Didn't use to do that. I checked the front brakes, and they seem a little worn for only 6k miles. Checked the rear brake and the pads look new and are also not even touching the disc. Big gap. Front are at least touching.

I'm guessing (assuming) there is a disconnect in the brake line, but at first quick glance, the rear brake cable feel tight with the brake set, but pads far away. Just need to tighten. Something else someone else has experienced that is similar to this?

Emergency brake is a drum brake inside the rotor hat. Should be adjustment wheel in the drum for the brake shoes.

I believe there is an adjustment at the handle under the console as well.

The e-brake still hold the position on a slope with transfer in neutral. Doesn't explain the huge difference in pad wear. Perhaps Jeep are different, but typically brake pads ride on the disc with no pressure and do not sit off the disc by an 1/4"+ with a visible gap. That is also what concerns me

I agree with you. I’ve never seen disc brake pads that far away from the rotors. I suggest you have someone else step on the pedal while you watch the pads to see if they are squeezing the rotors.

This is happening to me as well, I was going to post a thread soon, I pull the ebrake hard, let go of the actual pedal and it moves forward a tiny bit....standing by for solution

Ebrake won't hold if any power is applied. It's not designed for that type of use.

What power am I adding?
You're not clear about what you're doing or if the engine is running when you do this. A little slip is not uncommon when setting the ebrake.

I don't get any movement, but I set the ebrake after it's in park and I take my foot of the pedal.

If in park (auto) or neutral (manual) - A "tiny" bit of movement, as in a slight jerk, can be expected, especially on incline/decline. But if it rolls any, then p brake adjustment will be necessary, or shoes checked pending on mileage or offroad use.

If you have an auto, tho, parking brake is only necessary if on incline/decline in case of park position disengagement/failure. Special case situations include flatbed tow or using winch.

As in the same as OP...

Parked put jeep in park, still running, pull ebrake, let go of foot brake, not under power, jeep rolls forward less than an inch, not on an incline, always happens, I have a minor list of things for the dealer, adding this, just seeing it was a simple garage fix or not. Today I even put the tires up against a parking space divider and the jeep moved

Does it move if you put it in park and take your foot off the brake without setting the ebrake? Is it the same amount of movement?

I’m sure you’re not getting the full picture. The pads are chamfered at the ends in a slope. This may be what you are seeing

What if you put it in neutral? Will it roll? Can you push it? I’d go to a (preferably empty) parking lot and see.
