No response from Gupton - Suggestions?

Hi all,

I've been trying to get in touch with Daniel @ Gupton for about a week (I've sent a few emails) and received no response. Had anyone else had an issue getting in touch with him? Is there someone else at Gupton I could try to get in touch with about ordering a Gladiator? (That is aware of the discounts he gives to the forum members here?)

I have a few quotes from some local dealerships here in Ohio, but noone is close to the rumored 6-8% below invoice (best one I have is about 1.5% below invoice, and that's only because I have already signed up for the Tread Lightly Affiliate discount). I've been wanting to get one of these since they came out in '19, and it's finally time!

Yup, I ended up getting in touch with Travis at Tri-City in NC. From where I live, they are only about 10 miles further than Gupton. And Travis is hooking me up 6% below invoice (with Tread Lightly and financing though them). I'm pretty happy with them so far!

Got an email back from him today about my build, has always responded quickly. Might want to check other threads for the email address, from what I read a few people had the same problem, I believe the emails were going to a spam account [email protected] is what I've been using

Travis is great to work with. I have purchased 3 vehicles from him in the last 3 years.

I'm not saying you're not having a problem getting hold of someone, I just feel the need to advocate here.

I never waited for more than an hour for a reply from Daniel. From ordering all the way to pickup.

I also kept the emails short and sweet and to the point. I know some people have a tendency to write out paragraph long emails or ask a bunch of questions, and that's a great way to have yours put on the backburner in a busy work environment. Not saying that's the issue here for anybody with Gupton, just a general observation.

Those guys at Grupton are SUPER busy and sometimes it's hard to get a hold of someone. Completely understandable in my opinion but it does take a little patience sometimes to get the good discount. The problem is(according to them when I bought my JTRD last year from them) is if they hire more, then their costs go up and they cannot give the same discount. Also they have been having a problem where people are giving them horrible Jeep surgery reviews because they can't immediately get ahold of someone which in turn really hurts their business as well. I know they were talking about stopping the discount because it wasn't as worth it anymore.

My suggestion, double check the email addresses, try em on the phone, and just have a little patience. Also you need to kinda know exactly what you want before hand. This is more of an ordering dealership, not so much help you decide what you want kinda one. How they can keep prices so low.

I originally reached out to Gupton when I went to order a gladiator and he was quick to respond to that first email but I could not get subsequent responses. After 2 weeks I decided to go elsewhere.
Whether it was the two mentioned above or the one I ended up going with (Chapman in Philly who I don't think is volume discounting anymore, though I may be incorrect,) they were all very quick to respond every time.

I get the guy is busy and good for him but my time is important to me and I'm very happy with my decision to not go with Gupton and instead get prompt service along with a big discount.

You might lose some brand cred in the forum though. A lot of folks seems very proud to have bought from them, almost like it's a privilege, lol.
