Hi folks.
Last week we finally had a chance to go to our two local dealers and test drive a Rubicon. Of course both dealers wanted to sell the truck they had on the lot that day but I told them that I wanted to order a Sting Grey when the order banks opened up.
They both also said that they were selling at MSRP but would be glad to quote my spec sheet...I told them that I already had a dealer that was quoting below invoice ( I didn’t want to get too specific) and they, predictably said that that was not possible.
Anyway one of the guys has called both of us about 10 times today telling us that he had the order ready to be placed (keep in mind that you can’t order a Sting Grey yet) and for me to just drop by and sign the papers...
I finally emailed him reminding him that I wanted a written bid and he never provided one and that he just said they sell at MSRP and that I was able to do much better than that....
He emailed and called me again that they would meet anyone’s quoted price...
I own a small company and when I bid a project it involves a considerable amount of time. I’m not about to give my business to someone who agrees to match a price that someone else took the time to work up.
I sent my deposit to Travis today!
