With the JL some dealers were telling people they couldn't order until February of last year, after some forum members had taken delivery. As others have pointed out, sometimes dealers "know" less than us.

Yeah I would have a hard time believing anything a Dealer says at the moment.

But the local dealer near me was trying to stress that it would be $10k above a similarly loaded JLU.

I guess it will be interesting to see. I was informed Order banks are planned to open Late March.

Plan to talk to some of the known dealers good with Wrangler prices as soon as that happens

After multiple phone calls/emails, the consensus I get is as follows:

1. Ordering beings in April
2. Production begins in July
3. No ordering information available currently - so initial and late avail colors are unknown

Production in July or Delivery? Seems Production has started or will start soon. My dealer should have a display unit from production sometime next month.

I hope you're right. Just going off what I'm hearing. Main production isn't necessarily display. Obviously, there are already units built.

I assume dealers aren't doing any early placeholder deposits or any bs like that right? I would hate to try and place and order and get the whole oh yeah, there are 300 people ahead of you in line cause they put in an early deposit.

If your dealer really does get one to display next month then I would love to know the name of that dealership and to know what city they are in. I’d love to drive there to see one. Please advise. Thanks.

Note that he is not one of the 2 dealers to promise me 6% below invoice. He thinks this will sell well above invoice for some time after release. I do not plan to give him my business based of conversations today. But he said he would have one next month as a display.

i spoke to a dealer in Allentown Pa. last week and for what ever it's worth he also said he would be getting a truck in March for "Training purposes." He expects to have units for sale in June. He didn't offer any guesses when order banks would be open for customer orders. He also said that the delay to dealers is partially due to large Wrangler inventory. (They are discounting current Rubicons by 4K) Lastly, his dealership WILL NOT sell below MSRP and expect to see Rubicon prices around 65k. I told him I'll be on the sideline until the hype is over. However. I will not be purchasing from his dealership. Back in 2003 some Harley Dealers were playing games with the 100 year anniversary models and it had an adverse affect with customers. Just my two cents! Be disciplined and they will discount prices .

Not sure dealers get new vehicles for display purposes. Training yes. For a very limited time.

We have already seen the dealer that posted that they had a JT on the lot for sale but we all knew that was BS.

Dealers get vehicles to train or to sell. I would call bull spit on anything otherwise.
