Now being hounded by another dealer - wanting my truck

I tried to ignore them - emails, texts, phone calls - a dealer I've done business with in past years (I think we bought a Grand Cherokee or two from them over the years)
Finally I decided I'll respond to an email, let them know my current situation, no way I'd even talk about trading for a 2023, that would be silly to go from 2022 to 2023 with the only differences being the model year, mileage, etc. - and no one would have a blue one anyway. So forget 2023, and with prices of the 2024 in the stratosphere (compared to what I've spent in the past for mine) - it would have to be a killer deal, really killer, below invoice (they are an MSRP dealer) and have to beat any other numbers I've seen on my current JT.
She shot back saying they badly need used Gladiators and their people are searching for anyone willing to trade or sell them one. I can believe it - there just aren't any used ones around here.
3 days worth of messages left for me........
I'm hoping my "you can't meet my numbers" will maybe slow them down.
Is it really that bad out there?
There seems to be no issue getting new 2024s, the 2023s are pretty much gone around here, slim pickings on 23s here and I can't say I've seen used ones on the lots.

I was at my dealer on Monday and they had four or five 24s but the 23s were gone and 0 used Gladiators. Come to think of it, I didn't see any used JTs on the Ford or Chevy lots either. They both usually have barely used Jeeps out by the road.

I got my 2023 about 2 weeks ago. And they had nothing used on the lot. They had 5 2023 Willys and 2 2023 rubicons.

they are basically giving the 2023s away. The sticker on mine was $55k and change and I got it for $40,600

so yep, I believe it. There aren’t very many used gladiators on the lot around here at all

Did a quick search and 26 used gladiators near me and 76 wranglers. I did cap year to no older than 2020 to keep it apple to apple comparison.

Not sure that is an issue though. Is there that big a demand for used gladiors?

Found 4 used so far (2 different dealers), may be others........ but within 50 miles, it won't be many at all.

Within 100 miles should mean a circle with a 200 mile diameter, that's a lot of square miles.

Its been a few weeks but last time I looked there were only a handful of used ones within a 4 hour drive. Not many new ones either andvery few 4 door or 2 door wranglers

so just checked. Yeah not many. Most are in the 40K range with 20-40K miles and 2019-2021. A couple willies and overlands. One nice orange rubicon.

then there is this. And yes. It is used.

LOL - our WHOLE STATE, river to river, border to border, is only about 3.1 million.

So considering the population in your area - that's really not that many Gladiators, i suppose...

Our dealer has one - gold tow hooks. Said it was a 90-some K Jeep.
