Not that this thread is lacking in changes of direction, but while we’re on the topic of digital music, what was the first CD that you bought? This is for the over 50 crowd who actually grew up flipping albums over.
Mine was Tesla Mechanical Resonance, a very fine piece of music that still holds up today.

Pretty sure it was Apostrophe/Overnite Sensation by Frank Zappa. Couldn't believe that a simple five inch diameter CD could fit over an hour and a half of music on it. And be a fucking great pair of albums to boot!

I didn’t technically buy my first CD. I traded some work with a local album rock station that was switching formats to some kind of office-friendly light pop. I got to pick 3 from the soon to be boxed up rock for my effort.

I didn’t even own a CD player then but it was in my plans.

Monty Python episode - "full frontal nudity" - and it played on the local PBS station at 10:00 pm.

I was at medieval times a couple weeks ago with the family. While they were doing the announcements the announcer did a bit from the holy grail about the unlaiden swallow. I laughed my ass off...i was THE ONLY ONE IN THE ENTIRE FRIGGAN PLACE who laughed....depressing

First CD I bought, Winger’s self titled back in 1988-ish. There’s a reason why I remember. Lemme just say, she’s long gone but I somehow still have the CD

when i get my mojave delivered to my doorstep im going to make a drunken politically incorrect post from so many IPA's i get banned, but it will be so worth it. Stay tuned, i feel like it will be medieval times themed for sure.
