You might need to have it recalibrated, the North pole has moved almost 1500 miles since the 60's
The maps need updated to show true north and magnetic north.

Oh boy! My grandfather had that same one on the dash of his Plymouth Fury III.
:like:
My mom had a 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury III with a 440. It was a dark green 2 door.

I live near an Army base in Virginia. Distant explosions and the ground shuddering have been a part of my life for all of my life.
One night several years ago I stepped out on a side porch, just to look around. It's just a thing that I do.
There were aircraft lights, with decent distance between fore and aft moving along a treelined ridge that parallels a highway. They were maybe a half mile from me, but I could hear nothing. Three sets of lights. Three aircraft. No sound.

I thought I'd have some fun with my Jetbeam powerful flashlight. I grabbed it and went back out.
I knew their usual patterns. Out and back, so when they came back I'd be ready.

In a few minutes I could see the lights moving back down the ridge and towards the base. Same track as before, now coming towards me.
No sound. You could hear crickets.

I shined the light in their direction.

In about 3 seconds they turned on the sound and then they turned enough lights to switch my entire 70 acres to a sunny Summer day at noon.

I turned my little light off and cowered back inside. They could probably still see with thermal.
For all I know they could see my kidneys.
I don't do that anymore when I see odd things flying around. 😂

A Venezuelan guard was interviewed following the arrest mission in Caracas.

“We were on guard, but suddenly all our radar systems shut down,” the guard said. “The next thing we saw were drones, a lot of drones, flying over our positions. We didn’t know how to react.”

The guard alleged that only a few helicopters followed, deploying what he estimated were “maybe twenty men,” and said Venezuelan forces were “technologically unmatched” during the operation.
They didn’t look like anything we’ve fought against before,” he said.
When asked to describe how the confrontation played out, the guard responded bluntly: “It was a massacre.”

“We were hundreds, but we had no chance,” he said, describing gunfire delivered with “precision and speed”, adding that it appeared as though each attacker was firing “300 rounds per minute”.
The guard also claimed an unfamiliar weapon was used, which he described as resembling a sonic or acoustic device. “It felt like an extremely powerful sound wave,” he said. “Suddenly, my head felt like it was exploding from the inside. We started bleeding from the nose, some were vomiting blood, and we collapsed to the ground, unable to move.”

The guard alleged the attackers took no losses, saying, “Those twenty men, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us. We had no way to match their technology.”

He ended with a chilling warning to other countries in the region, “I’m sending a warning to anyone who thinks they can fight the United States,” he said. “They have no idea what they’re capable of.”

The operation came after months of covert intelligence gathering by the CIA and other agencies, which tracked Maduro’s movements in detail and helped US planners prepare the operation.

Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen Dan Caine said US forces had rehearsed the raid for months, using detailed intelligence to track Maduro’s daily life, from where he moved and lived to what he ate and even the pets he kept, and that elite units practiced the extraction on a full‑scale replica of his compound ahead of the operation.

US forces reportedly disabled Venezuelan air defenses and disrupted power in parts of Caracas to clear the way for helicopters carrying special operations troops, who swiftly seized President Nicolás Maduro. Maduro was captured within minutes and transported by helicopter to a US warship, the USS Iwo Jima, before being flown to the United States to face federal charges, including narco‑terrorism and drug trafficking.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess a few drinks precipitated you going outside and “lighting up” the military flights. ;)

lol. Hell no.

Reminds me of a time back in the 80’s when me and a few friends were bombing around on some power lines at night in a 4 cyl. YJ . We may have had a few drinks this evening so we were blasting down these power lines Being brave. Well we live kinda near a base where they had cobra gunships and Huey’s. Well we saw the lights off in the distance a couple of times but they never got really close.…….until all of a sudden we could hear the wump, wump of the blades. The chopper blasted right over us at treetop level and scared the crap out of us. We figure they saw our headlights bouncing around and decided to “mess” with us. :) Fun night. I can’t believe to this day the abuse that Jeep took. I mean there were 4 heavy guys in that thing and we were bouncing the thing off the skid plates and it just kept takin it.
