80's GM cars with the I beam in the doors for side protection. There was a whole industry pop up just to repair the door hinges because of how fast they wear out. Took 3 men, a kid and a trained gorilla to hang the door back on.
Buddy of mine from high school had a Mona with a 305 V8 and a 4 speed. Had to unbolt the motor mounts and raise the engine up to replace the spark plugs.I drove a 78 Chevy Monza hatchback, replaced the hinges twice. Cheap POS.

Real men just learned to lift up when closing the door.80's GM cars with the I beam in the doors for side protection. There was a whole industry pop up just to repair the door hinges because of how fast they wear out. Took 3 men, a kid and a trained gorilla to hang the door back on.
On some..........you had to lift the end of the door up at least 2" to get it to close.Real men just learned to lift up when closing the door.
Yep, I wanted to buy one of those. The mechanic warned me said that 8th spark plug cost more than the other 7, combined, to replace. I had the 4 banger, the firewalls on those collapsed around 15,000 miles. He had custom plates for them when they did. I drifted into his lot in 2nd gear after mine failed, never came to a full stop till I got there.Buddy of mine from high school had a Mona with a 305 V8 and a 4 speed.
