When we were still farming, we had almost a mile of fields along the Pa. turnpike (mm 218). Used to find 1 or 2 tire/wheel combos in the field every year, sometimes more.
My favorite were the one with lug nuts and studs still in them. Trailer studs would simply rust through. Had a few sets of duals, one with a whole axle end.
That’s what would make it through the fence and into the field along just 1 mile of highway.
