I can only assume you don't buy into a Gladiator hauling 1,720 pounds.

I'm sure that's definitely the max.

I've easily had mine at 1,470 or better with no issues, though.

I actually like it a lot. I can't envision trading my "24 JTR for it but I REALLY like it (the 4x4 decal and flag would be gone from mine on day 1). The one thing, if they keep the specs as a Willys, that would stop me from even considering it would be the towing. Willys is 6k, my Rubicon is 7k. It would likely not be an issue making my 8 mile round-trip to the marina a few times a year to pull the boat home for service. I know I am being anal, but there is the possibility in case of a pending hurricane in the Keys of pulling it to our original home (about 70 miles away) which we now rent out in Miami. Boat/motor/trailer/fuel, etc. come out to around 6k, so I like to be on the safe side.

Otherwise, I like the new package even with the 3.6.

Good start.. I hope this is first of more good news for the 2026 MY. For me personally i would want to build a freedom edition max tow version using the rubicon hood. Last year almost pulled the trigger on a '41 color sport or sports max tow to mimc the wrangler 4xe '41. . Any i like that you get the tripple hoop winch/grill gaurd with steel bumpers (front,rear). I wonder if you can get the green or tan interior?

I had my 2020 loaded up like that - quite by accident. I bought some concrete edging blocks on sale. They were on clearance and the guy loading them said that if I buy the rest, I'll get even a better deal and he figured only 3 or 4 dozen tops were left. I went in, made the deal with the manager inside, went back out and the guy says "I guess there were a lot more than I thought.
I drove real slow heading back home from town.
