Just finished up the V2 GFC prototype for the Gladiator!
Looks awesome! As the prototype, how's it fitting for you? how many tweaks are you seeing that need to be done before it's production ready?

Just finished up the V2 GFC prototype for the Gladiator!

So is this a hint of the “I dare ya red” color? ?

I’ve been dreaming of one for a while, and its been a little rocky of a year, but I’m in queue for a May build. I’ve been eager awaiting my details kit with the colors and materials, but I’m guessing that’s still in the works?

I was gunning for a powder coat in Purple for the space frame, so with the trick V2 frame, curious what these new options are to get me psyched for whats to come!

It wasn't much, just minor details and prepping for production. Fit is really great, I think the Gladiator really is the best looking truck to have a GFC on even though it's not the most popular among GFC customers (yet ;)). Really impressed at how stiff the bed and truck frame are when the driveline is at full articulation, practically no flex compared to any Toyota. Thinking of the tundra speed bump test video haha!

Sort of, I'd dare ya haha! I love having red and get lots of compliments, the granite crystal color paired with red looks great in person, these photos show it to be a bit different.

I can't speak on the color and materials kits that we ship out as I don't handle any of that. Glad you're stoked on your build! If you haven't already, go check out our development updates on the YouTube channel to get the full story of the V2 GFC.

I just watched that video!! I was drooling at the absolute craftsmanship of V2. I haven’t been following too closely on it, as I had really no complaints about v1 to even think that it needed anything more. But you all did it! Absolutely stoked at the detail in the form and function. I’ve been searching everywhere to find more pics of it, but seems like I’m gonna be in for a treat in-person.

Also, for a $1, I smiled to myself and said “bring it” If that is your signature, limited edition color for all y’all to see a few out there as your pride and Joy, let’s do it!

I’ve been smitten with this camper, and your commitment to great people to make em since y’all were getting out the first handful. So, #1541 could be quite sweet indeed and the pretty cherry ? for my Rubi. Otherwise, if I can’t do a purple space frame, all up black just won’t put the same goofy smile on my face. ?

And I am glad to hear the Glad makes a good platform for this. It’s good and taught and being the camper don’t weigh much at all, should keep it bouncing through trails for years without losing bolts or getting out of wack.

Also, have you taken the doors/freedom panels off with the GFC? I think thats gonna be a wicked look, and now that the cabana panels pull off, will be a sweet naked, elemental look.
Oh, and with it on, is there a chance that the rear roof can still be undone? It’s not something I planned to do, but with the cabana panels now removable, I’m wondering if fully naked is an option.

Thanks, and looking forward to good stuff here!

Assume this is for a tray bed? Looks good. Hope they don't weigh it down with too much fluff.

GoFast order placed and paid and awaiting build. Super excited!

I went with “dare me red” for the panels and tangerine dream for the tent. It’s gonna be wicked!

Also, as the red is gloss coat, I’m gonna try some things with vinyl wrap and some 3M knife tape. Not ordering that yet, but been wanting an excuse to play with the tape so I can learn it and put it to work on my adventure toad ? (The Manx buggy)

Also got the prime package to get the bars and such. I have some summer projects to get to and lumber gotta be brought home!

Well, I convinced myself to spend the money and placed an order for a GoFastCamper after way too much deliberating! @Skullivan you definitely didn't help me hold out, since it turns out I live two streets east of you and have to drool over yours every time I walk the dog in the evening . Now I just need to work on my patience for the build! I don't think I'm brave enough to go with the red like the rest of you guys in this thread though. I think I'll go with black panels and the stone fabric.

That's awesome, I noticed another gladiator down there. There's also that guy with the red rubicon near us that stopped by a couple weeks ago to check out the GFC operations so I showed him around. My wife really wanted me to go with black, I just wanted something different though haha! I think black will look great on yours and the stone fabric is what I have too.

Don't be a stranger, if you see me out there say hello! ?

Just saw your other post after you brought it home, the red looks rad on there! I actually saw your truck in the install bay when you were up here. Hope you have enjoyed the first month with it!

oh sweet! I wish I was able to have said hi then! I also totally forgot to ask about a tour of the factory (if thats a thing) I was so excited I forgot everything LOL

and thanks! It’s such a rad combo. I get a lot of compliments on it. And it puts one heck of a smile on my face whenever I see it open, or closed. It’s been a great first month. From weekend trips out, or just running errands it’s been wonderfully versatile and always get stopped to talk about it.

Also, the “Sirch and Rascue” decals seem to give it some level of “official” vs recreational as Ive gotten a few “who are you with” comments and such. Which I do like as somehow it’s less bougie camper and more stealth in the least stealth way imaginable. ?

Congratulations! It’s a hell of a wait, but it’s been such a perfect addition to the truck.

No number per say, I'm the Senior Design Engineer for GFC and V2 has been what I've been working on the entire year so I'm just finally getting the design finalized for the Gladiator.
Do you know if you guys have shipped any to Australia in the past?

I don’t know when you finally got it but I assume that’s you down there on the other corner. Congratulations, it looks great on your rig! Hope you get good use this summer!
