Hello, I'm looking at getting some Method 703's for my new JTR, ideally, I'd pick up the 25mm offset 5.78" backspacing flavor to keep the wheel tucked under the Gladiator as much as possible, similar to a stock wheel. I've seen people run these without issue however the next step will probably be getting a 2.5"/3.5" Clayton Offroad Overland Plus lift kit and the kit recommends the 0 offset / 4.75" backspacing.

Has anyone tried these 25mm offset wheels with a Clayton kit? This would be similar to AEV wheels for 17"x8.5. Do you rub the control arms with a 12.5" wide tire? I'm looking at getting 37x12.5r17 BFG KO2's.

The rubicon supposedly has 1.5" wider axles than other Gladiators, does that help me pick up the higher offset wheel?

Thanks!

Hey man! Did you end up going with the +25 offset? Did it rub? I’m thinking of doing 35x11.5x17 with +25 offset

Ended up going 38x12.50r17 on a Clayton 2.5” lift

The bigger you go with tire size the further out they need to stick to clear while turning. I’ve got 17x9” +1 offset wheels and it’s really pushing the clearances. I probably should have gone 17x9 -12

I have Method with 0 offset. My 37s don't rub with the Mopar 2 inch lift.

Still an inch or two with the +1 offset, was as tucked as I could do though
I’ve decided to go -12 with 37x12.5x17 tires
I’m putting on a 3-1/2 in Clayton overland plus lift

Do you have a pic with it straight on to show offset?

I do IT stuff so I can buy Jeep stuff.

Not sure if this helps you, but I have the Clayton 2.5" Overland plus lift, KMC 17x9 -12mm wheels and Baja Boss A/T 37-12.5R17 tires ... the last picture in this post shows a bit of what poke I have (look to the rear wheel to see this) .. note that I do have 2" fender extensions. I can try to get more pictures if you want them. Gobicon Build Log
