Seen a couple people getting ready to add an oil bypass system. Curious as to install recommendations I know space is limited. Also I was leaning towards the Amsoil kit for a reference.

Yea I’m getting ready to install one! Got the insane diesel extreme kit. It came in yesterday. I’m also installing a derail cooler with twin fans on a 185• thermostat. On at 185 oil discharge and off at 165. I have looked a little bit for placement options but have not decided on a location yet. It’s been really cold here so crawling around on my back in the snow has held me up lol

I got my bypass kit from insane diesel about 2 months ago just installed it 2 weeks ago, also I got word from them that there filter caps are defective and they had to send me a new one....SMH so now I gotta waste my time and take the old one off and put the new one so that there's actual oil flow to the filtering kit

It's a design flaw in the filter Cap I instantly noticed cause the filter snapped in but I noticed that the filter fell in all the way and I was like "wait.....how is oil supposed flow through the oil.....oh it can't cause the filter blocks it"

but yeah I was about to contact them,2 days later after the install as I was about to send an email with lots of đź’«colorful languageđź’« about my situation, they just now let me know of the design flaw,

but as of now i left about 1/4" of space so as of now so the filter is loose in there but there's oil flowing through the 2nd oil filter with very little flow but hey it's working, still annoyed that I gotta take the part off and re install it again....so I'm gonna do it on my next oil change

Also heres their explanation of the filter Cap
