I e-mailed the guy.

Oh......shit. ? That would work. Plumb in a filter and cooler. If you have to take the JT in to the dealer. It would be easy to remove.

Looks a little rough in some places but would be pretty awesome if there are no leaks... I can't wait to hear how it goes for him and his buddies! Think it could help with our cooling issues?

Wow. so this would be great with a full flow bypass and oil cooler setup :)

Pretty affordable option.

?? am I missing something? This is on a 2018- previous generation ecodiesel.
It just replaces the oil filter. It might work on jeeps too. There have been revisions to the filters but I dont think this would care.

Hi Russ.
Thanks for your interest in the adapter. I’m a devoted user in Amsoil products. I have used their remote filter system on every vehicle I’ve owned. I wanted to use it on my eco diesel but Amsoil doesn’t have an adapter. So I made one. When the factory filter is installed, it holds a drain valve closed. When you unscrew the filter cover the drain valve opens allowing the oil to drain into the oil pan. The adapter works the same way. Keeping the drain valve closed keeps the adapter full of oil, allowing the engine to build oil pressure quicker.
I know the adapter will fit on the gen 3 engine, but I’m not sure there is clearance on a gladiator. When you have time, please take some pictures of the area around your filter. It would be more accurate if you included a ruler in the photos. Measurements would be helpful. Send those to me and I’ll take a look. I know my dealer doesn’t have one on the lot. If there isn’t enough room, there is the possibility of shortening the adaptor. ?Maybe ?

Here are the pictures. Hope those help. From looking at your pictures. Looks like just need to use a 90* fitting on the side, instead of a straight fitting.

The guys on the Gladiator forum are looking for a way to install a oil cooler. The Eco in the JT likes to run hot. Some have derated. This will kill 2 birds. Oil cooler and filter. Can I post your e-mail address on the forum? "
