Sucks they didn’t include the charging cradle for every Jeep. I’d consider buying the speaker if the charging cradle were there. Maybe they figured people would buy the speaker after the fact and it wouldn’t make up for the cost of including the cradle.Nope I just have a storage compartment there.
I wouldn't want it in mine.. I have a ton of space back there with no factory sub (have the alpine under the passenger seat instead) or speaker & it will be way more useful then the bluetooth speaker to me. I can hold plenty of boom sticks or fishing poles back there.Sucks they didn’t include the charging cradle for every Jeep. I’d consider buying the speaker if the charging cradle were there. I figured the space would be the same with the exception of the pins sticking out. It would just be nice to have the option to buy the speaker and use it when we wanted. If you want the extra space, just take the speaker out. Unless I’m missing something, I figured the void is exactly the same except we don’t have the charging pins thereI wouldn't want it in mine.. Nope not at all.. I’ll go snap a few pics in a few and show you the difference.I figured the space would be the same with the exception of the pins sticking out. Ahh. I missed the part where ya said you have an alpine under the passenger seat. Mine is behind the second row seats. That’s why mine looks identical to the people that have the bt speaker. Did your Jeep come with standard sound system and you upgraded after the fact?Nope not at all.. I’ll go snap a few pics in a few and show you the difference.
The standard speakers yeah. I added the Alpine PSS-23WRA kit last week. Took about an hour & am happy with it, but I dont know how it compares to the stock alpine system as I haven't ever heard it.Ahh. So for me, it would’ve been nice to have the charging pins there for the option of adding the speaker later if I wanted. Since the dimensions are the same for me.The standard speakers yeah. Right. Wouldn’t be worth the money when I could just buy one that’s just as good or better. I’d pay a little more for the manufacturers speaker though. Maybe not what they’re asking for it though. It looks like you can add the bluetooth speaker after the fact.
Parts 6ND30TX7AC for the charger & 6LQ27TX7AD for the speaker. I would bet that the chargers power is connected in to the sub back there somewhere. Though thats a hell of a buy in for a bluetooth speaker as those add up to over 600.
No certainly not worth that cost. If you wanted one that would serve the same purpose you could add a USB charge port there & then any number of bluetooth speakers that could just be parked in that spot till you needed it. Probably less then 100 bucks total & give as good of audio.Right. Wouldn’t be worth the money when I could just buy one that’s just as good or better. It's never stupid to talk about something that so positively surprised you. I love mine as well. It's great that it's just there when you want it and makes garage time some much more pleasant!I love my truck. Bought it straight off the lot so I had to take whatever packages it offered, but it is an Overland, so it was pretty much setup with all the comfort options. BUT, the one option I thought I would NEVER care about, or use, is the Bluetooth Speaker. Then I used it once., and haven’t looked back HOW COOL IS THAT???!! I have used the hell out of that thing. So, it’s good to know that after 65 years, I can still be surprised by something good. Just sayin’...
Great idea getting a second for better sound!I purchase another blue tooth Jeep speaker from Mopar just to have stero. I am listening to it now while at home like a responsible, considerate and compassionate human, with a long island ice tea.
