Attached is a picture of extra brackets I have unless they want me to ship them back. If they don’t they are free for the taking ...

however I can guarantee they probably won’t work with anything lol.

Obviously the bracket isn't made for that location, the only reason they sent it was because you demanded it.

Hole spacing, and overall design isn't necessarily universal, they would have had to design and manufacture a bracket specific to that location, which adds significantly to cost (r&d ain't free)

You're making it sound like they are incompetent, when you are asking for a special accommodation, which is pretty shitty.

If the CS person who is trying to make you happy had gone to engineering they probably would have found out there is no bracket for that location, because they didn't design one for that location. Things are not always as simple as they sound

Straight to the point your comment above is “shitty”.

Go rhino has a gladiator in their shop. No this isn’t an assumption, Jesus from there told me they did. So no guessing, they had one available to make sure it fit.

They made one to fit this area because they have one in the original stock picture. They just decided to not include it to save money, that was their admitted call. So to be clear there was one made for the third location.

At one point Jesus from go rhino said that the 3rd position was the same bracket as the 4th. Well guess what? It isn’t. If you take that duplicate bracket (try a 4th in the 3rd position) it doesnt work. It wasnt made to be there. the bottom tapers in there (it’s like this on both sides) so the 3rd bracket would need to be a little more narrow than the 4th.

To answer your question, yes, based on my multiple interactions, and stack of brackets they ARE incompetent, or at best just lazy and not detail oriented.

There was not special accommodation, I called their error (initially planning to include 4 brackets, took pictures with 4 brackets, and then decided to include only 3 to cut costs but still kept the pictures up with 4) they admitted I was right. That’s why they sent me brackets. But hey I guess I’m the shitty one?

lastly your comment about the CS person is another stupid assumption. Jesus and Chuy from go rhino swore they would get the me right bracket because they made one for that location initially and they had a gladiator in the shop to test it on. They obviously didn’t do that. Things are pretty simple, they should be able to figure out which bracket is which, and not spent the time And money sending me 10 extra brackets when the whole point of this was they should have included 4 like they initially planned And charged 15 extra bucks.

I get it, you didn't get what you want. The simple fact they made a prototype of parts doesn't mean those parts exist today. Those parts are made on a die, it is entirely likely either they never built a die for that location. That stuff is expensive.

I'm going to explain how that happened:
Engineering drew it up in some form of cad.
They hand built prototype parts and fit them up as pre-production and took photos. All manufacturers do this.
Costs were assigned , and consideration was given to the necessity of each part before dies were made.
The fourth mount was deemed unnecessary from a structural standpoint and that die was eliminated as a manufacturing cost
They built and shipped with the 3 mounts which structurally is completely acceptable
The fourth mount doesn't exist, because they never built the die for it, they can't send it.

You want something that doesn't exist, they sent you a box of parts hoping something would fit which it clearly(?) wouldn't, you are right they should have never sent those, it was a waste of time. At that point if not earlier, they should have told you to return them, they just can't help you, I agree.

I think they tried pretty hard to make you happy and yeah, I think it is poor form to burn them down on the internet for trying unsuccessfully to make you happy.

Your complaint with the product itself is entirely cosmetic, and not a cosmetic flaw in what they actually sent, but simply that you wanted it designed differently.

The ad you linked where you bought them clearly shows 3 mounting points, the fact that it doesn't utilize every possible mounting point on the vehicle is moot. They are unnecessary structurally.

Honestly, I would cut both the OP and Go Rhino some slack and chalk it up to "shit happens". Go Rhino shares some mistakes in publishing initial marketing and mock up photos with the fourth bracket. At some point, either the OP or Go Rhino should have just cut bait early and refund to go their separate ways rather than attempts to cobble a fix after the fact.

Yep your right shit happens sometimes. I would have been fine with “sorry that’s the way it is, 3 brackets only” and would have returned them. But after 5 attempts to correct you would think someone would get it right?

I was pretty patient, yes and frustrated, but hey I have to move on because they said they were going to make it right and they weren’t able to. That’s fine and that’s on them. My money will be elsewhere.

Since you are quoting me, i assume you see that I am faulting both parties

I don't disagree as is evidenced by the post you are quoting.

Just to be clear. There was no “cobble a fix”. They said they had made a specific bracket for slot number 3. Which should be different than the other 3, but at one point they claimed it was the same as #4, but that was not true. They sent me multiple brackets, multiple sets of random hardware.

My point is to buyer beware because the QC with what’s going out the door at go rhino isn’t where it should be.

If you think they handled it fine- fine, buy from them. If you think I didn’t handle it well too- fine because I don’t have anything to sell.
