Just back from the Powder Coater...

Those wheels look really nice powder coated that color. The center section appears darker (matte black). Did you remove the center section and only powder coat the wheel itself? Question about powder coating wheels: I've read that you should paint wheels but not powder coat due to the heat involved in baking can fatigue the wheel.....any truth to that rumor?

So the center piece is plastic so it cannot be powder coated. It is actually the same color as the rim but hard to catch on the camera.
Most wheels are powered coated not painted…

I bought the Ridge Grapplers…

Do you mind sharing about what you paid per tire?

Walmart had 37x12.50r20 Ridge Grapplers for $200/tire back in October. Still kicking myself for not buying them.

The 38” fill the wheel well nicely. There is almost no tire poke, I am glad I went with the 11.5 wide.
My only wish is that they made Toyo Open County M/T in 37 or 38 x 11.5, I like the look of those tires better.
When I put the Toyo M/T next to the 38, ot wasn’t that much smaller…
