I installed the Oracle Sidetrack lights on my 2025 Gladiator Rubicon. I really like the puddle light and the turn signals, but realized recently that the puddle lights are always on at night when my head lights are on. Since they are wired to the footwell courtesy lights they turn on when the Jeep is unlocked or the door is opened, then they go off. Unless it is night time and the headlights are on and the courtesy lights are on in the footwell, then they are on all the time. They are pretty bright so I don’t light them shining in other drivers vision at night.

Has any one figured out how to have them work at unlock and door open, but not when the headlights are on?

Your courtesy lights stay on all the time when your headlights are on? That doesn’t sound right. I don’t believe mine do. Having said that I’m going to keep up with this thread and I’d love to know how you like those. I almost got creamed the other day when I was turning left. Some dude slid over to pass on a double yellow right after I put my signal on so couldn’t see that I was turning. I only grumbled under my breath because kids were in the car.

I love the lights. The side turn signals are very bright, yellow. The puddle lights are equally as bright in white. My only issue is staying in all the time at night.

The floor courtesy lights are fairly dim at night but on. This is a 2025 3 wire set up. So maybe I am just on the wrong wire…

Here is what I could find. Thanks for the review

  • Ground (Black): The common negative return.
  • Door/Courtesy Power (Yellow with Violet Stripe or Yellow with Blue Stripe): Controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM), this wire provides

power when the doors open or when you unlock the vehicle.
  • Constant Power (Yellow/White or Yellow):Provides constant unswitched

power, allowing the lights to be turned on manually regardless of the door status.

Why not wire them to the bed light switch? Those lights only light up when you unlock the doors or open the doors then you can toggle them on and off when you are driving if you wish.

That is a good suggestion. Thank you.

BTW…….. hope you got this figured out but can you snap a close up shot of where you snuck the wires in behind the fender vent thing? I have Nemesis fender so unsure if these will work with them. I like the features and there’s nothing else I’ve found that gives the courtesy light along with the turn signal there. After saying “Hi” to a bobcat next to the Jeep last night I’d kinda like a way to see in the immediate area of the door prior to walking up to it. He was a big boy too!!! Medium sized dog range. It’s was dusk so I saw him before I got too close but in pitch dark that could have gone all kinds of wrong.

Thats what I did with my Rock lights. The Rock lights turn on when I use the key to unlock. I also used a relay to tie in Aux 4 for times when its not about the "splash lights" without it feeding back to Bed Light. The only thing I'm still working through but no biggies is Aux power always on or switched.

Wired it up the following way;
87 -12v from Aux 4 (tied into 85)
87a - Bed light positive
30 - To Rock lights
85 - Aux 4 wire (positive)
86 - Ground
