I'm not quite sure where to put this. I placed order with (Military Auto Source) in October, for a March Delivery.(Price was good 6.5% under MSRP).. The process hasn't been the smoothest.. and the salesman hasn't been all that familiar with the process or the options that were standard. All of the ordering paperwork was with his company, not JEEP so when I signed for options and such it was options listed on their forms. One of the few specifics that I had to have was the black fender flares vice the painted ones, as I didn't want to be concerned with scratching them up. I now have my build sheet and window sticker and it has body color fender flares..

My salesman stated that it seems they changed what was standard on Sport Trim with the Sport S model.. adding painted flares. I'm working with him to get this corrected.

Anyone delt with this before, can it be corrected at the factory?

It’s standard for 2021 I believe color matched flares.

If he says it is standard, ask him why the body colored fender flares are listed in the option section

That's what I'm pushing as it's added to the 23S Sport Trim, but he should have been able to opt out of that on his system. It would be one thing if this wasn't something I had specifically asked for...

Body color flares weren't an option building my Sport S. It listed black as standard. I'm with you, they MUST be black.

Although, Jeep also said manual transmission is "standard" even though they only make up 2% of all the Gladiators for sale here in AZ. The word "standard" seems to be a relatively flexible and fuzzy term in the FCA dictionary.

Did you order the LED package? I have a 2021 Sport S on order and was unable to keep the black fender flares with the LED's

The 23 S package is what makes it a Sport S. When you order a Sport or Sport S it starts off as a Sport and then they add a package ending in either B or S to make it the base Sport with roll up windows or the Sport S with power windows. So you never select 23S as a package, you get it when you select Sport S with manual transmission (24S would be Sport S Auto).

Sucks that they made painted fenders standard on the Sport S. I'm sure it was to do more to visually separate Sport and Sport S builds.

@Gobi-Wan Kenobi has it right.

Might find someone on here willing to swap with you. They pay shipping both ways, and no money exchange hands sounds like a good deal to me That someone might jump on (assuming they aren’t too far away).

I won't have it till March, so I'll put a feeler out for them at that point.. As I really do want the non-body painted.. All the aftermarket look pretty skimpy...

I would switch. I was to cheap to pay the extra 700 for painted flares 🤣

Get the dealer to pay for satin wrap on the fenders. They’ll look good far longer than the black plastic ones
