80% build?
Something of that, to be a wall hanger. The upper is functional the lower isn't quite. The trigger pocket is cut out. So trigger spring doesn't have a place. I wanted it for just placing in case on wall. So if someone was to steal it no functional rifle.
And sadly the end mill bit snapped taking out the bottom. Aluminum and "brass" can be grabby, being softer than steel or iron. I did think about using brass but not cost I would like. The stripped bare upper I got at one of last full auto shoots at Knob Creek range. I thought about using S.S. on other parts but decided that black would go with the furniture better too.

It just reminded me of this gem from back in the AWB years.

I picked up a beat to s### M1 Garand stock at CMP range to see if I could bring it up to being usable. I wish I had took a before picture now. My CMP rifle had replacement wood when I bought it. So not quite right for the old war horse a Korean war vintage. The stock below is what it had on it. It looks good on display but not a good finish scratches easy.

Something to bring perspective on the veterans of WW2 and Korea is holding a M1 Garand. During my A.D. I participated in quite a few parades and ceremonies. Some I was tasked to be dressed as soldier from past conflicts, Desert Storm (go figure) some times in WW2 uniform with a M1 Garand and a time or two in WW1 with the 1903 in others part of the color guard.

It just reminded me of this gem from back in the AWB years.

That's classic especially with 12ga hulls laying around it. A fun note on some STAN'S and M3a1's found in Europe and England in past being painted and stored in cars like they were part of the tool kits.
Still a sharp looking setup. I have P-mags that I dyed red (they turned out more pink) for qualifying and range use to keep them from getting swiped. It kinda helped from 9 down to 5.

Blockchain technology is reshaping the world, and cryptocurrency is its most exciting application. From smart contracts to decentralized applications, the possibilities are endless. Platforms like http://yfos.finance are empowering users to explore these innovations and profit from them ๐Ÿ˜Š For instance, the rise of NFTs in 2023 generated over $25 billion in sales, creating new opportunities for artists and investors alike. Similarly, layer-2 solutions like Polygon are reducing transaction costs and improving scalability, making blockchain more accessible to everyone. By staying ahead of the curve and investing in cutting-edge projects, you can position yourself at the forefront of this technological revolution. The future is being built on blockchain, and with the right strategy, you can be part of it.
Some awesome hobbies here! For me, it's all about woodworking โ€” thereโ€™s something so satisfying about turning raw lumber into something functional or decorative. Itโ€™s like therapy, but with sawdust. ๐Ÿ˜„ I recently built a custom tool chest for my garage and am already planning my next project: a live-edge coffee table. Anyone else here into woodworking or building things? Would love to swap tips!

Our summer weekend hobby (Bass boat) is fishing..โ€ฆ.although, those fish were caught on the St. Lawrence River (guided trip). You canโ€™t catch monsters like that where we fish. ๐Ÿ˜† I also have a good sized gardenโ€ฆ. Tomatoes, Jalapenos, carrots, potatoes, sweet peppers, etc.

I do a lot of home canningโ€ฆ.mostly in the winter to stock the shelves. My little grocery store in the basement. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

When you can, the vacuum in the jar holds the top tight enough that you do not need the threaded part of the lid? I will one day build a deer proof garden and learn to can my own stuff but donโ€™t know enough about it yet.

โ€ฆ.. itโ€™s not just about โ€˜the vacuumโ€™ that holds the lid. Itโ€™s a whole science to it.

You process the foods a certain way - by Water bath method (212 degrees) or Pressure Canning (260 degrees). The process you use is based on the acidity of the foods.

The goal is to process the food at the proper temperature at the proper amount of time to kill the bacteria and botulism spores (and anything else) that are contained within. This allows the foods to be shelf stable and safe to eat.

What's Vref on that thing? ๐Ÿคฃ
Whatever feels right. The ASI was optional back then, it's certainly not a "numbers" plane. I'm usually around 60 on final, slipping all the way to the flare. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Then with the offcuts I made a couple of storage boxes to go inside:

I'm pretty happy with it..but it's full; #7, #5-1/2, #5, #4, and 2 block planes. Guess I can't buy any more hand planes ๐Ÿ˜ข
