Lol I read your post. I’m just saying every Californian and Texan can’t stop moving or vacationing here, that’s why there’s no spots and sells out in seconds. If it makes you feel better, I’ve paid taxes here my whole life and not even I can go.
In my experience, the jeep jamborees have quite a few folks from out of state in attendance. I live in FL now, and use the jamborees to see different parts of our country. I love a good road trip!

Yeah, I know. I’m just salty that I can’t do anything in Colorado anymore ? Blaming Texas and California is easiest since I see about 678 of their license plates a day.

Ouray was my first choice, as we’re in CO as well. I agree. Platinum members must have sold it out before it “opened”. I tried on the hour:00 and it went to waiting list. Same for Moab on Monday. I did successfully sign up for Arch Canyon though. No idea how. It will be my first jamboree, so will see how much I like it.

I completely agree that we CO jeepers should just arrange our own weekend trail trips. Any summit county people here? If there’s not a summit county Jeep club, we should start one.

I assume this is akin to Californians ruining Oregon and now spreading into Idaho and Texas...
Yes. ? All they do is bring high prices, traffic, bad drivers and moronic politics. I remember when I was 18, it wasn’t that long ago, 18 years. We could decide at 6PM we wanted to go camping, drive to the mountains at 9PM and find a spot. Now you have to reserve spots months in advance, you can’t get up the mountain without traffic and coming back on Sunday? Forget about it. Beautiful state but I hate it now.

If you were born here and lived here in the 60s-90’s you’d understand.
I get it. Here, New Yorkers are ruining everything. The cost of living is going through the roof, traffic is getting bad, and taxes are going up. However, most people are still nice to them. I am, as long as they don’t go on their annoying rants about how great New York is…

I debated it for a hot minute but 825 per family is crazy for 2 days of "guided" trails and 6 meals. I have done most of the trails they listed and if you have off-road experience none are a issue at all. I will go up in late July and do trails with friends and save 525, have way better meals with my 300 bucks, and avoid all the stupid people on the trail.

Good thing I'm from Nevada and not one of the aforementioned states. We have plenty to explore here. @Challenger85 too :movember:

I also attended the academy and was told it qualified me for early registration. However, never figured out how to do it.

im in for this. Death Valley, Moab, SW Colorado etc would be most attractive to me
I'm an out of stater, but I'd be interested in this. Those are worthy road trips.
