I pay $0 dollars in sales tax from my home state. I paid dealer fees and 45 day temp tag from the state of Utah. The dealer and salesmen took care of all that paperwork. I'll I did was sign the sales contract, give them a check and drove away. I didn't research their state laws to even care, I figured they were trying to scam me into paying extra. As I called around I found some dealers tried to collect city and county taxes.....some did not. I went with a place that did not. And I believe I got a fair deal.

Yeah he was there, the delivery went smoothly. Was quite impressed actually, it wasn't the typical unpleasant dealer experience.

Oh no, I wasn't that low. I didn't finance and no Tread Lightly discount but, I'm happy with the deal. $1600 under what I could get currently anywhere else in the country, equally equipped.

I did. Thank you. Nice guy. I have a problem though. About a month and a half ago, I ordered a Rubicon diesel (pretty loaded) through Costco.

Costco’s dealership is LH Miller for those familiar with the Salt Lake area. Not to bash them but they are far from being the cheapest.

My concern is that Costco and Miller set the price based on “market value “ and I seriously doubt that the numbers will be close.
Costco, however, claims that they will match a similar offer within $300. Now we’re talking! I just need proof that Salt Lake Valley is actually letting them go for that. I’m not sure how I can do that.

I seen that LH Miller is the dealer you are considering going through. I'm my exhaustive cross country search. I wasn't impressed with LH Miller branded dealers. Your experience may very. I was a cash buyer, and didn't qualify for some rebates. Elliot gave me his best no bullshit price and without negotiations, they beat everyone by $1600. I was an out of town buyer. He was willing to arrange transportation from the airport, I just kidnapped my 23 year old nephew and stole his mom's mini van for the 5hr drive. It was a hassle free buying experience for me.
