Ya never know he might be on vacation. I believe he doesn't work Tuesday. I've always gotten through. I can reach out to if you like.
Yeah if you want to thats up to you. I'm a legit cash buyer and tired of getting the run around from other dealers. It would be the easiest sale as long as the numbers work for me and no up sale BS. If thats Elliot then I wouldn't mind doing business with him.

Funny thing is, the dealerships may actually be less eager to work with people paying cash...they can make a lot on the backend through financing, and it gives them way more tools to use to try and play the shell game to get even more out of a deal. It's also not like the take any risk with a buyer who's using financing, once the bank or creditor issues the loan, the dealership gets their money. I guess financing through the actual manufacturer as the lender could mean they have to deal with the situation if you stop paying, but I'm guessing they have that possibility factored in.

Anyways, could be part of the reason why they aren't chomping at the bit as much as you'd expect.

Personally, I'd get super low interest rate financing and buy some bitcoin with the cash...then in a couple years you can buy a whole fleet of Jeeps :CWL: guarenteed you'll beat that interest rate on the loan, plus with the coming inflation factored in, you'll end up paying way less for the JT.

I'm at the point I'll just take the financing make sure I don't get an early pay off penalty and pay it of through the financing company. I'm old because back in my day cash was king. These finance companies are ruining it

Yeah I agree, things have changed a lot...soon it seems like they'll be offering 30 year fixed rates on vehicles, its insane! I'm not really old but I was raised with the same idea, cash is king. I had a rude awakening when I started to need my credit score - I figured since I had zero debt and one credit card that I would be golden. Turns out that actually hurts you, apparently you're supposed to be irresponsible and live outside your means, but just not by TOO much :CWL:

Anyways, I guess you gotta play the game a little bit. I've learned debt can be a tool as long as you're not over leveraged and you use the cash you have in ways that earns more than you pay on the debt.

I hope these dealerships start stepping up and you get a good deal soon!

I am! I've been focused more on mountain biking lately but love to get out in the mountains for both climbing and hiking/mountaineering.
Rock climber here too. Plus back country snowboarding and mountaineering, backpacking etc.

Do you mind dropping the Name of the dealership? With those kind of numbers it would be worth the flight and road trip home.

So far Elliot at SLC Jeep is the man. I hope this buying experience continues through my arrival to pick up. If everything contiune this smoothly I'll be happy. He even apologized as he's been swamped with referrals from this fourm.
