Anyone have this happen? If I'm in 4-low, the outside temperature gauge doesn't change from whatever temp it was when I put it in 4-low. All day wheeling it stayed at 31 degrees when the temps were low 60s! About a 1/2 hour after returning to 2 wheel drive, it started climbing to the actual temperature!

Yup. I’ve noticed this since I first got the Jeep back in 2020

Friend noticed the same thing in his 2015 JK when I pointed it out

Must be something to do with the computer

I believe that the temp doesn't get updated if the vehicle is stopped since the heat from the engine bay can skew the reading. My guess is that applies to the vehicle if it is moving too slow as well. You definitely aren't moving fast in 4 low.

My '08 Power Wagon did the same thing. The temp won't up date unless you went over 45 or so mph. What we figured out. It's something to do with low speed operations.

I had the same experience last weekend at RC. Every time I started it back up it turned on the heated seat and steering wheel even though the outside temp had climbed into the 60’s. Jeep still thought it was 31.

It's normal. Even my 08 JK does the same thing. Won't update until I'm back in 2wd (maybe 4hi?) and at normal speeds for maybe 15 minutes or so.

Yup, 31 when it was in the 60s! I was also at Rausch!
