Do you have pics with the wrangler tires on? I have been debating those just because they were what was on my last JK and did right by me so I am curious to see if it gives that "little bit extra" I have been looking for (also may have a line on some rubi takeoffs so weighing options)

Since the market for reselling my overland rims/tires seems nonexistent, I’m to keep the rims and go to the 275/65/18 tires. Debating on the sumitomo encounter at and the pirelli scorpion A/t plus. Both has excellent snow ratings and not “e” rated. The pirellis are about 10 lbs lighter each.

Put your Overland street tires on Craigslist. I sold my set of 4 to someone with a Chevy truck in less than 24 hours with 1275 miles for $500. Keep the spare street tire if you’re going to 275/65/18 as it is the same diameter.

you got lucky! I’d be happy with $250 for the duelers

The way I see it is... they paid 1/2 price for the Duelers and I got 1/2 price for my new Falken Wildpeaks. Win-win.

there was a guy on the Facebook group claiming he was only able to get $135 for the overland wheels AND tires

I sold my duellers for $120 that was it, less than 1000 miles

I'm thinking about Goodyear Duratracs. Does anyone have experience with those?

I like the idea of an all season with the winter rating. I'm sure a pure winter tire is better but I assume these would have better winter performance than a baseline all season tire.

I did a lot of research recently and the Nitto Ridge Grapplers sound, no pun intended, like they are the best hybrid tire due to being the quietest. Most reports say they are louder than stock highway tires but not much and very tolerable compared to true mudders. There are no complaints about their snow or off road performance unless you are a real mud bogger and the bonus is they look great.

When my Overland arrives, I'm going to do what I did with my TJ: put the big tires on and lift it only enough to clear them. Way too many people have way too much lift on their trucks for the tires they have IMHO.
I'm going to put 285/75/18 RG's on the stock wheels and let you all know what lift, if any is required. I'm not doing any technical trails with the JT, that's what the TJ is for.
(why did it take me this long to realize JT was the reverse of TJ? How poetic)

Anyone else considering the Nitto terra grappler g2 in a 295/70/18 for their overland?

Hard to find 18’s that aren’t e rated....

looks like they measure 34.3

Almost impossible. However, E's aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be. I have them on my TJ which weighs 1000+ lbs less than a JT and they aren't too bad. Only the most broken, hard pavement makes them suck for a few seconds. If you live where there is bad concrete everywhere and you are mostly on road, sure, stay away, otherwise, consider it...

northern Indiana’s roads are atrocious, so I think I’d better avoid the e.

the Nitto I mentioned is the only bigger tire other than the 275/65/18 I could find that wasn’t e-rated.

I’ll probably still go for the 275/65/18 Pirelli scorpion if I don’t find a rubicon takeoff set, but nice to see another option in case I want a bigger tire.
