not sure if this is one of you here, but this is from big sky MT last spring at a trailhead. This has caused me to buy a gladiator so I can get this camper.

Haha, that's mine, hopefully I didn't lead you astray. I love my setup, it's a great MT rig.

More progress on the bumper. So the little pipe welded to the bumper that exits the driver's side. Is where the exhaust for the diesel heater stubs out at. Got the locking open mechanism figured out. Holds it open at 180° next will be actually final mounting to make sure all is still where it's supposed to be after all the welding. Then paint and final installation with the bike racks

Update on bumper/swing away. More progress + mistakes. It happens. Simple cut and make a new piece for the open latching mechanism.

What rear springs are you guys running? Loaded down for a big trip I’m pretty close to my bump stops. Solo trips with less stuff /Unloaded I’m good to go for the most part.

I initially ran airbags so I could adjust between trip/non-trip load, then did Dobinson coils (no more airbags). The airbags were great to correct sway and ride, but I had lost 1" in height with the camper/winch.

The Dobinsons are their light load spring rate up front (still accounts for winch) and the 440-660 lbs load coil in the rear which gave me back my slight rake when I am mostly unloaded. Those were 2" and I netted 1" over stock Rubicon height with OVRLND+winch, other basic gear. Feels awesome unloaded or loaded now. Dobinsons also has a 600-1000lbs load rear set.

I'm on stock suspension and I just put on Icon 1.5 multi-rate springs in the rear about 2 weeks ago. I haven't been off-road but it slightly lifted the rear. I think once it's loaded down it will completely level out and not sag.
I also have the diesel front springs, even though I have the 3.6 gasser engine.
