P00AF less than 5 miles into first tow

Ok, so they just reached out and confirmed the turbo will need to be replaced. Part is on order. The service advisor mentioned it’s a newer part number for the actuator on the turbo, so wondering if anything different was done to it? I know someone mentioned they opened up both part numbers and didn’t see anything physically different. And got a rental car reimbursement authorized by jeep cares, turning out to be not a bad week.

If you think about it, please let us know if this fixes your issues. Because I'm deleted, I'd have to go back to the stock before taking mine in. Right now I'm not convinced the turbo is bad so I'll give it more time towing before I go that route.

From everything I have read, and what service advisor said, it’s not the turbo, but the actuator. And of course, Stelantis won’t provide actuator separately, so that’s why they swap the whole turbo. Service advisor said it resets turbo to 100k warranty from install. Now I just get to listen to my wife give me shit about how this thing is always in the shop, 3rd warranty issue, and she’s not really wrong. Just sets me off .

I understand completely. My first Gladiator, a 3.6, was in the shop several times the first six months for misfires. Once they finally got that resolved the a/c condenser had to be replaced. Next was a two and a half week stay for paint corrosion. My wife was shocked when I decided to buy a diesel Gladiator. At least she can’t give me too much hell about the Jeep. Her 14 month old Lincoln has been in the shop since the first of July with software issues. She went in for an oil change and they updated the ECU. The next day it shut itself off at a stop light and hasn’t run right since.
