Okay here goes… I have a late 21 JTRD so stock 33s that have not been sold yet and they have about 5k miles on them setting around for about 2 months. I found a good deal on fb on a used set (4) of 37” Nitto RidgeGraplers on 17” bronze Fuel wheels they had about 5k miles, they have about 7k now… I love they way they look, but not really the way they drive or the mileage and I only have 4 w/ the 33 spare still so I’d need to buy another 37 and probably a small lift if I end up keeping them… Then I saw the Walmart/Kenda 35s deal and pulled the trigger on 5 for $400 just to see if it would work (it did, lol)

Now I’m not 100% sure what I want to do, but I have a lot of options with 3 sets of tires and 2 sets of wheels… I think I’d like to put the Kenda 35s on the Fuel wheels and sell the stock 33’s and the Nittos, but I’d like to hear other thoughts and why? Like maybe keep the stock wheels and put the 35s on them OR “what the heck you should never go from 37s to 35s” lol… Any ballpark what I can sell the 37s for w/ 7k miles?

Oh I know it’s going to be asked; we got this thing for adventuring, we have a pop up that we pull to Eastern KY or other trails within a few hours of Louisville, we like to do trails like the Daniel Boone Backwoods Byway (nothing that has been too hard for the 33s yet), it’s my daily driver too, but I work from home.

Well, my credentials as a chump are impeccable, so I’ll help you this way:
Theoretically, I’d ignore the miles and price a small discount to new for the Nitto’s and the Fuel wheels because of the name recognition and “prestige”. The 33’s and stock wheels are everywhere as new takeoffs, so with miles it’s just - meh. Kendra’s, which I’ve never paid any attention to prior to the sale, can be had new for around $250 each before coupons and stuff, but new 37’s would capture my imagination at $175 each. Now you can “chump price” your decision!

Keep the 35"s on the fuel wheels keep the stockers and sell the nitto's to speedneed for $175 a tire + $200 handling each. I bet he would take a $450 tire for $175 I know I would

What they said. In any case wear out a couple sets before you buy another set.

Keep the 37's and sell the new 35's to someone local, and make a profit. I never really hear anyone say "man, I wish I would've gotten smaller tires...."

Me... I'd keep the stock wheels and tires for various reasons such as winter, long drives to the trails, when you skewer a trail meat..

I'm not sold on 37s but perhaps its because I only have the stock 255s and some 12.5x35s. I'm much more interested in retaining as much gearing and acceleration as possible.

I would throw the 35s on the bronze wheels, sell the 37s to the local hardcore extreme group and avoid thr whole hassle of bad balance, poor wearing and the insecent moan on the road.

You guys are awesome lol... the diesel is so fun, and so is chirping big ol 37s ;) but I don't think I'm going to feel horrible dropping down to 35s... and there's an offroad event in a couple weeks that I might end up taking the 37s to try to offload there... Thanks for all the suggestions!

In Colorado, IMHO, 37s and a 2.5in Clayton Overland plus is the sweet spot for wheeling a DD
