I'm slightly regretting not getting a few factory-installed packages on my new Sport S. Specifically wish I had the cargo management group with trail rail system ($895, includes locking rear seat box), the auxiliary switch group ($295), and to a lesser extent the trailer tow package ($250).

Is it possible to have dealers add these packages after purchase? Or would you have to pay the cost for all the parts and pay labor on installation?

I know the locking rear seat box assembly is $1,200 by itself, so I'm guessing I'm out of luck, but I'd love to retrofit the bed power outlet and a few other things like that. Curious if anyone's tried this or has an advice on this

I ordered the trail rail system - $370 at Quadrtec - installation is easy. Be patient with the locking under seat boxes - i would guess a lot of options will be available within 6 months.

I’m picking up my JTR today from having the aux switch pack installed at dealer. They haven’t done one before. Fingers crossed. Took them 7 hrs. They also ordered the black instead of brushed nickel. I made sure they ordered the correct one for my Rubicon. I don’t know why a dealer wouldn’t order all their Rubicon’s with the Aux switches.

You will pay individual accessories/parts prices plus labor.

Unfortunately you are correct - I called my dealer to check and they confirmed. Makes the trail rail / lock box / power outlet package absurdly expensive... Guess I'll keep waiting on aftermarket stuff lol[/QUOTE]

I had the switches added into my deal. I believe the labor is 2 hrs for install. I didn’t want to take the chance of screwing something up installing it myself. Every Jeep should be ordered with the switches.

I just sent them an email and will let everyone know what they say..
Thank you for doing that! Tuffy makes some great products and hopefully they will design something for under the back seat. Tuffy made some side storage boxes for the bed of a pick up truck a few years back and man were they sweet. They contoured over the wheel well and fit flush to the top of the bed rail. All the room in between the wheel wells was able to be utilized from front to back. I wish they still made those because that would be a great option for storage on the JT.

They debut Gladiator truck boxes at SEMA. Still can't find them on their site, but they're coming. @BestopTeam has also apparently teamed up with them to make a weather proof cover to go between the boxes.

I have seen the new boxes they are coming out with and those are nice. The ones I was talking about were

I saw those on the Bestop Jeep JT but not the ones I am talking about. They are similarly built but the older style was much better. Thank you for pointing those out anyway.

Got a quick update from Tuffy Products...

“...
We are in the process of designing and releasing this product. Stay tuned to the website, as we are looking at 5-8 weeks for the truck boxes. Everything from the rollbar forward is the same as the Jeep JL.‘

Great news for those of us who want a secure lockable cabinet to fit under our back seat..

Actually Tuffy is a member of our corporate family. They became a part of the family a couple of years ago so we almost always have Tuffy products (existing or new products that will be coming to market) on our Jeep builds. They are a great group of people to work with.

Hi - I reached out to the team at Tuffy and it looks like they need to implement some revisions in the first quarter of 2020. This would likely put availability out into summer.

The tonneau we'll be making at Bestop and its availability will hinge on when the boxes are finalized after the revisions. Again, probably summer.

It takes quite a bit of effort to go from a prototype to production so we appreciate the patience!
