Has anyone noticed any discoloration of the paint in the fender and grille areas? I have started to notice this occurring on mine. Can be seen seen most prominently on the driver side fender and to a lesser extent on passenger side fender and top front driver side grille.

Not my pics and my issue hasn't reached this level, but this shows what is staring to occur. Apparently this has been an issue since the beginning on the JLs. Most noticeable on Bright white but has been happening on all colors. Yellowing of white paint from heat | Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU) - Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, 4xe, 392 - JLwranglerforums.com

Mine is already yellow. It came that way.

I'd get the dealership to fix. Our of curiosity, do you wax? Just wondering if that would help to prevent oxidation.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely going to bring it up when I next bring it next. I had not seen anything on JT owners complaining about this issue and I thought it had been addressed and taken care of.... But apparently it has not.

Only kidding. Not being a smart*ss. The pic you posted, it looks like they skipped a coat of paint, and the primer is showing through.

Apparently a REAL issue of which I am all too aware, unfortunately.

This is common on painted plastic areas. Any make. It just means it wasn't painted right - the correct fillers weren't added or not enough of them.

Do you think the dealership would actually help us or tell us there is nothing they can do? I never heard of this or noticed it yet but i have the white fenders. My experience from working with plastics and especially white plastics is after time they will almost always yellow with age or UV exposure. I didnt consider this at all when i got the painted fenders though lol.

If it happens in warranty it's a paint defect imo. Dealer opinion will vary of course!
