Take it to another dealership with a body shop on site, took me two different dealerships to get it approved by Jeep.
I'm in the process of doing the same. My question is I am lead to believe that you dont need a service appointment you just need to show up when its open during the week. Was that the way you had to do it?

Yep, just like that…they took pics and measured then submitted for approval to Jeep.

Got it! I'm just waiting to drive 20 miles and be told you need a service appointment. Did you leave your car there or they assessed and told you to come back when the parts were in?

I don't have time to run all over the state and I shouldn't have to. I am done with this dealer and all the rest. The warrantees are full of loop holes and questionable wording that give much room for individual interpretation. I have had a few other problems that the dealer was less than responsive to that I solved on my own. This problem will be no different. When it is all said and done I will have a better truck with no lingering issues with the paint.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have to go to a Jeep dealer with a body shop if you need warranty paint work.

I’m kind of surprised your dealer was willing to get involved, assuming they don’t have a body shop. And also surprising a Ford dealer was willing to take the job. Our local Jeep dealer says go to one with a body shop. And I don’t think our local Ford dealer is willing to work for Jeep warranty rates. But maybe if they just spray a spot and bill for more?

No. The dealers around here require an appointment for anything. I actually had to make an appointment to let them see the defect. Then had to make another appointment to take the photo after they got the ok to do so. These dealerships are all out of control. It is because they have managed to establish a monopoly. If I want to buy a new car within 200 miles of where I live the chances are it will be a RANDY MARRION or a RICK HENDRICK dealership.

The JEEP dealer and the FORD dealer are both owned by Randy Marion.
My 2021 Gladiator just went in for warranty work on the paint this morning. I bought it from a Jeep dealership last month, they own a few other manufacturer dealerships in the area and the one down the road is a Hyundai dealership that has a body shop is doing the work.

The dealer I bought it from told me at the time they were working on setting up a time to get it in for the work but really didn't get into much details of what it was for except that she was told there was an issue with these vehicles and the paint around the hinges.

When they body shop called me last week, they said they needed 5 days to do the work. They said its technically a 20+ day job, they get some parts pre done from the factory that they use to speed up the process.

After the pics and measurements they said it would be a couple of weeks to get jeeps approval, so I left with my JT, got a call in about 10 days confirming jeeps approval for the repairs, then they ordered parts and book a date for the paint shop repairs. I would call them in advance before the drive to insure someone will be there to do the assessment. Ask for a rental when you get there, Jeeps reimburses that cost for the rental for the dealership as well. They had mine for about three weeks after the parts arrived. Good Luck.

Appreciate you taking the time to give me the detail! Very helpful. We shall see what my experience turns out to be

I had my hood edge bubble. Not corrosion but some kind of painting process problem. Warranty covered it.
I know your post was awhile ago, did they replace the hood or try and repaint?

They offered to repair the spot that is the size of my thumbnail. They would offer no warranty. They would cover 80% of the cost I would be responsible for 20% of the cost. My portion, $845. I told them "they were absolutely crazy, they were trying to rip me off or just make me go away". No other spots have appeared. For their total job cost I could buy 2 new hoods and have both painted.
