Paragon Action Park may reopen

Hey East Coasters.

If you have not heard, there is a plan in place to reopen Paragon under a new name.

The Catawissa Recreation Area Master Plan aims to serve as the framework for the acquisition, development, and operation of a 5,541-acre OHV recreation area located in Schuylkill and Luzerne Counties within Pennsylvania

There is a survey that is very important for us as Jeepers to participate in, to make sure they open it for vehicles as big as our Jeeps, Bronco's etc vs just those small OHV and dirt bikes

Ha! I should have read your post more closely. I thought it had closed and was thinking about reopening.
Seems like a field trip should be in the works. Might need a second skid on my fuel tank though, I’ll be needing that to get home. Maybe it’s time to order those LCA and diff skids I’ve been thinking about…

The park itself closed as they were trying to turn the land into an Airport.
Some shady stuff went on during all of this and I believe some local government officials actually ended up in jail. It's been a while, so I'd have to dig up some old information.

Anyway, people still do go up and wheel on the land, but I am not so sure about the legality of that and will leave it at that.


The web pages I linked are to attempt to make it legal again and similar to something like RC or AOAA once again. if that happens, it would be good that people in larger vehicles like Jeeps, bronco's, samurai's Toyota's etc fill out the survey to make sure we are included

OPA, I am out of control on skids, won’t be lifting my Mojave or bigger then true 33”for towing and reliability, have used Dana diff covers that a nice forum member named “Crash Ed “gave me, blasted them and “Steel it” painted so if weekend goes well I’ll have some diff protection, and Artec FAD skid also. I am on the fence if I actually think it is better then diff skids, cover is heavy duty and has “ramps” built into fins on covers and more ground clearance then skids, if I got skids they would be Next Venture’s as my wife and I are talking about their fully belly skid , welI I am talking but she is not saying no so that means ok right?
They just had a 20% off sale for subscribers that had put the basic full skid within reach…….Jack
