Where do you adjust the parking brake? I have a manual and would like to be able to leave it running without having to chase it down a hill. I've seen two ways it can be done. One way, and thee way I've ever only known to adjust the brake is at the wheel. Using a screwdriver or brake tool to adjust. But I've also seen videos of guys adjusting at the handbrake under the console. Seems a little easier but are there pros and cons to either method?

I know you can adjust the handbrake slack using the second method but does that also work to adjust the actual brake or should I go the trusted and true way making the adjustment at each wheel. Educate me.

Adjust the parking brakes at the rear wheels. The other adjustment should only be used when the cables are replaced or have stretched.

Awesome thanks. I guess it's possible that the adjustment is needed because the cable has streched. So there's that.

So as I've seen on the toobs, either way works.

I just adjusted mine last week, via the center console.

Honestly, I hadn't even considered adjusting it at the wheel, didn't know that was a thing...

Took about 5 minutes, brake lever is much better and the Jeep doesn't feel like its going to roll down the driveway.

I feel like my lever is undone at the bottom position (when not set) there is a big play and I hear metal clanking like something is loose when lifting it a bit before it grabs. Anyone had this issue or is it the default behavior? I can’t remember but it definitely feels like it’s not tight anymore.

If this sounds foreign I’ll make a small video
