PCM FAILURE AND REAR AXLE SEAL LEAK

I was doubting about starting this thread but I'm having a lot of questions hope yall can help me or see if anyone has a similar issue.

Brought my Gladiator to the dealer on 6/27 for a regular service yall guys know the regular tire rotation and oil change. The advisor told me about a Flash update if I wanted to get it done, I was like sure why not. 2 hours later they tell me to come and see what they found, SURPRISE it was a Rear Axle Seal leaking they made an appointment to get it done on 7/18.

Went back to the waiting room and got me waiting for the other 2.5 hours and a half. They come back to me to say that my jeep WAS NOT STARTING!!! Their explanation was that the internet FAILED while it was on the flash update and they were truly sorry that the gladiator didn't want to START. The reason why the Internet failed was that they were also having updates on their network. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO OFFER UPDATES WHEN YOUR INTERNET IS NOT STABLE. They got me waiting another 2 hours but couldn't do anything to make it start. So the best option was to borrow me a Cherokee!!! These things don't even compare.

They told me to wait for the part to arrive supposedly the PCM, it was supposed to arrive on 7/6. Which it never arrived. Waited 1 day and calmed them back. They said that it was back-ordered and it's now supposed to arrive on 7/27. I call them back today and now they say it will arrive on 8/1. It was supposed to be a regular service but now I don't have my jeep since 6/27

I'm seeking help on this forum for any type of tips or help

The only think I can really offer are my condolences. I get anxiety without my truck too.

From what I can tell, they are trying to take care of you. They have you in a loaner, which in itself is really good. Many Jeep dealers don't offer that service.

There are many threads on both of these issues. Wondering why they offered to flash your PCM if you were not having any issues with system. I have read that some have had luck by disconnecting the Radio/UConnect and reflashing the PCM, just a thought and ask them to try. Axle seal, most have been told to drive it till the parts come in. Although I have also read that there was a redesign and not sure if that was made available yet.

Welcome to the world of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" because EVERYTHING is on back order.

My opinion. Manufacturers shouldn't be building new vehicles when there are current customers out there waiting for those parts.

The pcm not taking the update can be cured with the fuse pull and retry

Not idling a factory with thousands of worker making a product for many future customers is cheaper than dealing with the few after the fact waiting on parts.

I know that sounds unfair and crass and I would be thinking the same as you if it was me.
