Just put them on today, and I’m very pleased
I was in the market for a skinny 35 and nothing seemed available. I was offered these Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 35X10 or 255/85R17 and I’m pleased with the ride quality, and road noise is now very acceptable. I was running Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35X11.5 but the road noise was more than I could take on my daily commute.

Great choice, great tire. I would have purchased a set if they were available at the time. I'll be moving to these tires when my BFG's wear out.

I've looked at this, and their wider counterpart. IIRC, these are load rate E right? Have you aired them down to see how they flex in comparison to a C?

These are actually what I want next but the E scares me off a bit.
Im running them at 34 PSI they ride absolutely great. No complaints at all.

I have never had a sidewall flex issue with LR E tires. I have some on my lighter JLU and once broken in they flex great at 17 psi.

Nitto will have the Recon Grappler in 11.50 wide available by next year
It's a move in the right direction, but still not what I would consider a "narrow" tire. Back in my Suzuki and Toyota days I saw the magic that a 34x9 Super Swamper could perform.

Oh yeah those tires were great. The old LTBs were one of my favorites

The LTB's were 34x10.5, they ran short and were substantially wider than the "Special Service" 34x9 which ran about 35" tall and were ridiculously skinny with the deepest tread this side of tractor tires. The LTB's worked well, but the Special Service Swampers were the magical ones. Bigger 4x4s could get away with fitting the 38.5x11 Boggers, but none of these bias ply tires were any good on-road. It's a shame that the BroDozer market drove all the tire manufacturers to go so wide with their offerings.

Yeah the wide tire fad is getting old. 11.5 isn’t bad but these 10’s are nice.

I really like these 255/85R17 Baja Boss AT tires on my 2-door JKRX. I run them at 37psi on the highway and they ride nice even at that pressure. They seem to flex well off road at 19-20psi.

Did you get a spare too? Just wondering if it fit underneath.
