Thoughts and prayers for your family brother, take care of that first. The nice thing about Jeeps is they're absolutely everywhere. Don't infatuate yourself on one Jeep just because it's your color, or has cool wheels or it's lifted etc etc. Buy it from a reputable dealership. And from personal experience, buy it from a Jeep dealership. I'm trading in my WK2 on a Gladiator Eco next week because I purchased the Cherokee at a Toyota dealership and it's been nothing short of a nightmare.

Also forgot to note, don't trust a Carfax report either, almost landed me in a vehicle with a bent frame. It takes "X" amount of time for something to be reported to Carfax. Sometimes it can be weeks, sometimes it can be months. There's another site called AutoCheck if I remember correctly, that draws their VIN information much quicker than Carfax. I asked a salesman over the phone about frame damage on a vehicle I was looking at, and he said no buddy it's a clean carfax. I told him I wasn't interested in the carfax, the vehicle is showing frame damage. Of course he stated he knew nothing about it. The next day he called me hounding me to come look at the car. I said I'll be there just as soon as you tell me what's up with the frame damage. Again, playing stupid. The 3rd day I decided to bug HIM, and he finally said the vehicle was transferred to another dealership. So I looked up the VIN and sure enough, their sister company had the car just 15 minutes away. I called them and asked if someone there could tell me about the frame damage. You guessed it... all they could tell me was it had a clean Carfax...

I literally lost my Mom a few months ago and lost my Dad today on what would’ve been Moms bday.
So sorry for your loss Brad. You have my sympathies having gone through this just 18 months ago myself. Be good to yourself during this difficult time.

Had someone tell me once when I asked about couples that pass close to each other, " Son, real true love don't wait to reunite".
I'm sorry for your loss.

Damn, sounds like a bad accident and a real hack job repair. Good thing Jeeps are everywhere, and don’t be afraid to buy one that’s bone stock and make your own upgrades. Lots of dealers charge a small fortune for poorly modified Jeeps knowing that people will pay a premium because it looks cool.

I agree on Carfax - I don’t trust when it says nothing wrong but when it says a lot IS, there’s no telling what else isn’t on there.

My parents actually divorced when I was 7 in 1978. In a 7 month period I’ve buried my Dads wife of 30 years, my Mom, funeral for Dad is Sunday and all I have left is my stepdad. He and I are extremely close but I’m spent. I literally just don’t think I can take anymore death. It’s like I don’t have any tears left, but I find them from time to time.

Sorry for your loss, Brad. Don’t think twice about the Jeep with a salvage title. I literally can’t drive a mile from my house without seeing 3 Jeeps. Toledo makes a lot of them. Be patient and the right one will come along. Family first.

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately I had to reroute I got a call they rushed my Dad to the hospital and I was 4 minutes late saying goodbye.
Sorry for your loss. I lost my Father 20 years ago. I got the news way to late myself, I had been gone on TDY.

I found myself a Gladiator a bit ago. I joined here in Feb or Mar complaining about what a local dealer was doing to me. I wanted a stick with electric windows and hardtop. Believe it or not that’s apparently not a combo commonly ordered.

I own a CPA firm and one of my clients is a CDRJ Dealer and he found everything I wanted but in an automatic which was ok because my wife can’t drive a stick and I’d hate to have something she couldn’t drive in an emergency.

My son is a genius and he got a full ride scholarship to anywhere with money left over. I kinda figured I’d be paying for his Masters.

He buckled down and worked his butt off and got a 4 year undergraduate in two years. He started on his Masters this past Monday and will probably have all his education paid for as far as he wants to go and me pay nothing.

He likes off-roading and camping so I figured I could buy him a Wrangler and we both go. He’s a real good kid I couldn’t ask for more so I feel he deserves it.
