Two door versions of other trucks, like F-150s and Silverados, are pretty abysmal in sales. Even extended cab variants are garbage outside fleet vehicle sales. The reason is simple: most who have ever owned a 2-door truck will never go back after owning a 4-door. Heck, even the Wrangler is almost 90% 4-doors these days.

Looks cool, but after a while I think almost everyone would want to go back to the 4-door.
THIS. Looks neat, but a hard NO from me.

I had an F150 extended cab back in the day before they made the little 1/2 suicide doors. The back area was basically useless. I can't Believe Toyota has gone back to it, epic fail IMO.

You decide to go naked, and you have that quarter window thing left to look at?
If I had my druthers, I’d have the top have the window and not attached to the panel. Just my personal opinion.

Just joined, and found some of these threads. Its interesting to read all the angles people like to have at the 2 door Jeep truck market. It certainly is a niche market that is a subset of the Jeep truck market. But, we are trying to cater to that market with several of our different products.

Earlier in the summer, we finished up the JTruk Cab kit for the JLUs. We took a 2019 JLU and cut the whole back of the tub slightly behind the pinch weld seam in the bottom of the rear door and remove the rear body, but we do not cut the frame, fuel, or brake lines, or any electrical. We then bolt on our complete fiberglass cab enclosure using bolt locations of the rear doors. The wheelbase stays the same. We then can put on a flatbed or this this customer want put the effort into (not easy or cheap) to extend an existing gladiator bed to fill in the gap at the front. This will be a kit format that you or a body shop can do.

Next up the gladiator. Our existing cab back for JLU will also work on a gladiator that a person wants to make into a 2 door long bed. We just cut up a 2023 JT with 4500 miles on it last week. The cab back will work the same and leave at least a 7 ft bed. I'll post reply with a pic of that from my phone.

We don't have the full video install for a JLU or JT yet, but the process will be almost the same as it was for the JKU. Its the JLU and JT have a bit more wiring/sensor/relocations than the JKs did.
But, if you want to see how the process works, Here is the link to the JKU install

I agree and couldn't have said it better.

I do still have my 2004 Wrangler Rubicon, which has always been my play toy, because I could never have used it as my everyday vehicle.

When JEEP came out with the Wrangler Unlimited 4 door in 2007, I was finally able to have a Wrangler as an everyday vehicle.

A few pics on the Gladiator build.

Meh, not really what I would expect/want. It would be much better if the entire top were able to be removed, like on the AEV Brute conversions.

That guy does some pretty good work. Caught his videos on a V8 swap in a Tacoma a couple years ago and was impressed with his skills. He does not put out a lot of video content but when he does, it is usually worth the watch.
