Ours are based off of MSRP here. So whatever the sticker says in the end, that is the cost basis for registration. So a fully optioned out Sport whatever the final sticker says that is it. In fact they do not care if you get to 10K below invoice. Registration uses MSRP and then MILD depreciation over the years. MY 2011 FJ cruiser is still a few hundred to register even though it is 11 years old.

Traded in a 2017 BMW M vehicle so my registration and insurance went down with the Gladiator :)
That sucks. Flat fee here in PA.

I listened to the ”engine sound” they currently have created for the new EV Challenger/Charger that is to come out in 2024…..loud, but just does not do it for me….especially the revving sound

He has a diesel and is probably heavier into the next class.

In Delaware, my 2022 Rubicon JT gasser threw me into the next weight class vs. my 2021 Willys Sport because of the weight difference. Made yearly registration go from $40 something to $70 something per year.

Mine is a Sport S Maw Tow with every single option except smokers package, plus hardtop, bedliner, trail rail etc.

I am thinking that there is probably very few people that did that!!!! Basically a Rubicon msrp (58K) for a Sport S. But I got what I wanted….all the adds plus top towing capacity of 7650 and great payload!
Yeah sure no lockers do not make it Rubicon or Mojave. Nice way to make yourself feel better not having that budget for Rubicon

This is where i declare that the Gladiator is the King of all vehicles! End of story! It will never be discontinued and in the future it will fly on electric solar power!!! It might cure world hunger and covid if it decides it wants to do that.

Huh? Ouch….why the attack for no good reason? That was pretty judgmental based on the premise that everyone wants a Rubi or Mojave and also on the fact that you know nothing about me.

I did not want a Rubicon or lockers or a Mojave. SHOCKER!

I had the budget to buy any price car I wanted. Be it a High Altitude, Land Rover Defender fully loaded. I buy cars by what I need.

I paid cash for my JT so with tax etc I paid over 61K in cash and had cash left over if I wanted something else. Believe it or not there are people that dont want a Rubi or Mojave. My FJ has lockers, the whole kit and kaboodle and I have never used the lockers.

Buy the JT to fit your purpose.

I wanted 7650 tow with the 1500 payload. I will be trailering. In fact I am not even upgrading tires to keep as spec as possible for trailering. The JT is unique.

And my Sport S is one frikin awesome vehicle!

What makes you think that? I did not want a Rubicon or lockers or a Mojave.

I had the budget to buy any price car I wanted. Be it a High Altitude fully loaded, Porsche, Land Rover Defender fully loaded. I buy cars by what I need, not the price.

I paid cash for my JT so with tax etc I paid over 61K in cash and had cash left over. I traded in a 5 year old BMW convertible M that I also paid cash for. Believe it or not there are people that dont want a Rubi or Mojave, Buy the JT to fit your purpose.

I’m sorry for asking this and essentially poking the bear…but then why did you compare what you bought to a Rubicon or Mojave. You basically “asked” for that rebuttal…

HAhaha That is not a bear poke. You make sense. I took issue with his assumption on my financial capacity and an inability to afford a Rubicon. My original post was just to pick on myself saying who in their right mind creates a 58K Sport S which is an equivalent cost to a Rubi. I just wanted that damn payload and towing :P
