Post-TSB Steering Gear Failure

i had my steering box replaced in november about 5.5k miles ago. over the last 2 weeks the steering loosened up significantly and i eventually had to hold at 11 o'clock to track straight. took it in yesterday and it turns out that the replacement box also failed. thankfully they had one on hand in the shop and replaced it, but if you notice the steering getting weird after the tsb, the journey might not be over.

I had the same issue. Made a post about it awhile back. So far, my 3rd gear box is holding up. Best of luck to you!

Hopefully the aftermarket will provide an alternative to the OEM box. Looks like the PSC box is only available in a full hydro-assist kit. Maybe Redhead steering or someone like them will provide a replacement with some key upgrades.

id like to see an upgrade also. My 21 has the steel box but its pulls to the right consistently. getting tired of having to always steer left. Just went in for alignment yesterday and they say all is in spec.
