The green is the same colour as the Mopar 8/9 Speed ATF. In fact, they smell the same too. Upon having both oils analyzed, there is very slight differences between them.

I went to get some fluid the other day as mine was about a half-inch below the low line and they asked for my VIN to make sure i was getting the right fluid. This was on top of the fact that this fluid is on a national backorder? Local dealer had some bottles. And yes, it does have a stink to it.

I actually need some EPS Fluid... my dealer just said it's on national backorder.

I love my Jeep, but I really hate Jeep.

Ford Type F!
Had to laugh as it reminds me of the old 'use type F in any transmission to make it shift better" BS when we discuss the transmissions in our older AMCs and Jeeps (MOPAR transmissions starting 1972)
All the while Ford was having nothing but trouble with their "type F" and actually dropped it because of those troubles. And yet - non-Ford people said it helped.
Uh, Ford thought otherwise, it didn't last long even as a recommended fluid for Ford.

Going to have to do a special operation with a turkey baster on the dealer lot at night
Everyone knows I hate all San Diego Jeep dealers but I need to post if I have a good experience too.

SO...prior to my turkey basting comments I had called my dealer this AM...he said nope....national backorder sorry....and we can't guarantee alternate fluids are acceptable. ( warranty ). I was about an inch low so wanted to add.

3 hours later they call me " Hey Chris I actually found a single 16oz bottle on the shelf and I put your name on it ". Went and grabbed it. Yes it stinks bad.

1 positive is better than 0 for my dealer.

Yes, but it needs AB correct?
Unless service data says otherwise, the two letter suffix revision of the part numbers are compatible.

FWIW, I have order from the Amazon listings with the AA suffix and received the latest AB suffix item.

In almost all cases, pretty much all parts - the suffix of FCA part numbers are minor revisions.
It could be the supplier, the bottle, or some tweak to the fluid itself that doesn't matter to anyone. AA to AB is a very minor revision and can typically be ignored.

for this sort of fluid, you may see a mix on the shelves at a dealership - assuming they had any.

for Amazon sellers, if the item is identical, Amazon literally puts all product into the same bin and it can be 5 different sellers where Amazon pulls from that same bin. That's a "gotcha" with Amazon.

Geese, all this talk of guys with low power steering fluid …..gotta check mine I suppose. Weird, I’ve never had a vehicle that required a ps fluid top off. Hmmmmm

Me neither. In all my 3 ps pumps, I had an air lock and had to work dam hard to get it out. All three air locks measured 250 ml.
