I now have a case going on with Chrysler . The Dealer I bought the Jeep Gladiator from won't call me back anymore Im so pissed !!! Took it to another dealership in Lakeport California and they were very nice and did every thing possible, suggested by Chrysler to fix it . They went through the entire wiring harness , Flashed all 3 units computer modules in the Jeep and called me to pick it up it seems to be fixed now but call if the power steering fails again . I picked it up and drove it about 250 miles and the power steering failed again . It is now collecting bird shit in my driveway while waiting for Chrysler to write me a check for Lemon law Buy back . Too bad I really liked the gladiator . I also spent $5,000 for an awesome stainless steel Camper shell and bed liner. I may have to acquire a lemon law attorney to get re imbrued for all the expenses Ive acquired dealing with this Jeep Gladiator. What a freaken nightmare this has been and is still on going !!

You are entitled to be reimbursed for expenses directly related to the vehicle's issues - towing, and so on, but not for accessories.
Sometimes you may be awarded certain accessories, sometimes not. Sometimes the company will step up, but they do not have to!

All the law says is that they must do one of the following - and only one of these -
  • An additional repair attempt.
  • Replacement of your vehicle.
  • A refund of part or even the entire purchase price.
  • Reimbursement for incidental expense (towing, car rental, etc.)
This is from the California government -
If your vehicle is a lemon, the manufacturer must promptly repurchase or replace it. You have the right to choose a refund instead of a replacement.

Don't instantly jump into court and an attorney - arbitration is often faster (almost always faster) and is free, etc. - according to CA ->
It is free, and faster and less complicated than going to court.
Decisions are made within 40 days of the program receiving your application.
You can accept or reject the decision.
If you accept it, the manufacturer must accept it too.
If you reject the decision, you can still sue in court.

Personally, I'd start with arbitration as it leaves doors open.

Make sure you get a number from the clowns when they call. The people calling are a 3rd party that Jeep pays to deal with these buy-back matters. Jeep has no way of contacting these people other than leaving notes on an internal system if you miss their call. I missed their call and they left a message with no number/extension to be reached at and corporate can't connect you to them. Very frustrating experience to have to deal with them for 3 months while they lowballed me.

I had an issue with a dodge dakota years back. The corporation was great after it was referred to by the dealership. I got a newer Dakota and it didnt have any issues for the time I owned it. Had a tonneau cover on the old one. They pulled the tonneau, had it painted to match and then installed it on the new truck.
